The game was recommended to me while I was recovering from my surgery - perfect excuse to dive into something that looks like Maluch Racer Simulator and not being called a weirdo for building some wonky car that is being held up entirely by bolts, right? I was initially warned that the game has horror elements, so upon launching the game I proceeded with caution. 90's Finnish family house threateningly welcomed me, with it's purposefully unpolished graphics. Then I took a look around and noticed the Satsuma itself, in front of the garage. In the garage I've realized what could be the horror of this game - hundreds of little parts that I had to assemble to make the car run, with my zero knowledge of the car and engine anatomy, apart from lights, doors, hood, wheels and windshield.

It quickly turned out that the game was pretty unforgiving. First of all, you have needs that you have to take care of: thirst, hunger, stress, fatigue, URINE (you click P to relieve yourself, how cool is that?) and so on and so on. If full, few of those will get you killed. Your character on top of that is slow as โ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅ, like he never ran more than 100 meters at the time, so even though he has unlimited stamina, you will need some kind of vehicle. Fortunately, before you assemble Satsuma you have few options to choose from: the boat, which of course you can only use to get around on the lake, Kekmet tractor that is fuel inefficient and is pretty slow and finally, Jonez scooter, which I chose for my temporary mode of transportation. On my way to the shop I was jumpscared by the dirtroads' green menace, almost killed on the highway by ignorant drivers, but finally arrived just fine. After the visit in the shop to buy sasuages and frozen pizza, the little money I had at the start of the game quickly depleted, putting me in the position of looking for the job.

See, this game is not only about driving vehicles, it's more of a Finnish countryside in the 90's simulator, so with that you can pick strawberries, deliver firewood or empty sewage. There are also few other jobs that you should discover yourself, I'll just recommend you to go pick strawberries first for good lubrication into how this game makes you earn money and generally how it rewards you for doing something (note, it's a mental battle).

As you may have already noticed, I have 200 hours into this game and I truly love it. The point of this game is to make you suffer, but you want to suffer with it. You will get through the painful process of picking strawberries, you will get used to Pena jumpscares, you will finally build and run the satsuma (I've only managed to do this after 50 FRICKING HOURSE OF PLAYING!) and then you will even attempt to participate in the rally or even finish the game's plot (yes, there is one)

You will have fun and you will cry.
