I came back to this game after a few years only to find that it's impossible to join any multiplayer game.
All of my network hasn't changed in all that time, so it was something that Overkill changed.

It's interesting that this happened at roughly the same time that they're releasing Payday 3.

I looked at when I purchased this, and it turns out I pre-ordered, so I was playing since launch.
I played over 300 hours of multiplayer when there was no content.
Now I can't play multiplayer when there's tons of content.

TF2 MvM meets Minecraft.
Missions are varied enough to keep it entertaining after 20 hours.
Lower difficulties are a snooze fest, but higher difficulties are challenging enough to fail if you don't try.
Less of a "Press E" simulator than Payday 2.
Works well with proton.

I bought this game because I thought it would be fun with friends, and wanted to play it before the devs changed too much.
I also bought it because multiple people said it worked with Proton.
This is not the case.

It will not launch because:
"Something went wrong in the Shader Cache Builder process Exit Code = 1"
A quick search shows that even Windows installs have the same problem, and there's no clear fix.

Probably won't buy it again because the devs will abandon it for #2.

Terrible camera ruins otherwise okay game.

It autocenters when it shouldn't.
It doesn't autocenter when it should.
Sometimes it's completely blocked by terrain.
The only way to swim without drifting up is to constantly reposition your view down.
Most of the time the player model takes up 80+% of the screen, which makes any sort of combat a complete mess.
There are tons of climbing spots that completely lock the camera to a single field of view.

And to top it off, movement controls are relative to the camera's position. One moment, left could be left, then the camera randomly shifts and makes left right.
The camera is so bad that you'll eventually find a few spots in the game where you can press forward and get stuck in a movement loop.

Decent gun play, varied enemies force you to be methodical - doors and corners.
Native language for enemies with full subtitles makes this game's voice acting better than any other game I've played.

I bought this game to play with friends online, but it turns out that you have to spend hours grinding boring stuff to get to the better online game modes.
It's outdone by 10$ games from last year.

Crash on launch with error:

Couldn't allocate specular probe texture atlas.

GJ, you've made a game that only supports DX11.

dxcpl workarounds don't work, and I had to let this PoS run in the background for 5 minutes to post this.

Sick of stupid modern shooter with their "ultra hyper realism" and boring color palletes?

Sick of formula shooters with no sense of humor?

Don't waste your time with Farcry 3 when Blood Dragon delivers a better experience with NEON DRAGONS.
