Early Access Review
The game itself great, but I can't recommend it. This game has been in development for ~9 years and after buying this game on early access a few years ago, I'm convinced that this game will be in early access forever. Secrets of Grindea is a perfect example of how risky it can be to purchase early access games.

This game is absolutely outstanding. Risk of Rain a dungeon crawler, side scroller, shooter, and platformer all wrapped up into one amazing package. It does a great job of letting you discover the game for yourself instead of holding your hand through each step. It's extremely addictive and does a great job at keeping you coming back for more, knowing full well that your character will eventually meet an untimely end. As for replayability, there's tons of it because Risk of Rain has a system similar to Binding of Isaac where items are unlocked as you progress through the game and unlock achievements in previous playthroughs. The only downside to the game are the limited video options. The only option that affects resolution is an option called "scale" which scales the game up from its original resolution. However, this hardly dectracts from the game itself. If you're a fan of dungeon crawlers such as Spelunky and Binding of Isaac, Risk of Rain is definitely for you.

Pros:
-No hand holding
-Tons of replayability
-Great visuals and music

Cons:
-Limited video options
