After the first 5 hours of gameplay, I’d like to make my initial assessment of the game. I’ll see if it needs an update after I finish it. Update after 38 hours, side quest feels very service game, you do them but it doesnt matter.

First of all, I was initially negative about the shift to a more Pixar-like/cartoon style. It seemed worse in the trailer, but the actual game doesn’t look as bad once you start playing. While the tone has become more childlike, the graphic style isn’t as off-putting as I expected.

The action-based combat feels similar to switching from Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2: it’s more action-focused and limits tactical options. It’s not necessarily bad; it just takes some getting used to.

Dialogues are almost nonexistent. It feels like the HR department really may have filtered the writers’ ideas, as everything seems designed to avoid offending any group.

Story - I was a fan of Dragon Age Keep, and I've played every BioWare game in the past, always appreciating how even small story elements could resurface in later games. However, here, the story feels almost nonexistent, which is disappointing.

Character Customization - For male characters, the body customization is great: lots of options, allowing you to be bulky, fat, or fit; there’s a wide range to choose from. However, for female characters, the options seem limited, as if they were created from a male template, making it hard to achieve a truly feminine look. Features like glutes and chest appear non-existent.

Summary - Overall, this doesn’t feel like the ideal Dragon Age game. Ironically, I found more RPG options in Elden Ring. This game feels more like an action-based experience, similar to Shadow of Mordor or Fable, than a true RPG.

For now, I’d like to finish the game to see what direction they took with the story. I don’t mind the shift to a more action-focused combat style, although similar changes put me off in games like God of War. I’m curious about the dialogue style in this game—sometimes characters respond to major, terrifying events with things like "Ok then, by the way…," which feels out of place. I’m giving this game a chance, but at this moment, I can’t recommend it.

The game is really bad. Starting with technical issues. EA Anticheat causing game to not run properly. First time since windows XP i had to look guides how to even run the game.

Then after game run High end PC was overheating, so again looking for guides to force certain graphic options to not overheat the PC.

Then there is gameplay. Slow sluggish, they force onto you milion advices, trainers even when you switch those off those still pop up. Fifa 22 was just download, install and play in Fifa 23 search guidelines, change options, fight with errors and sluggish animations.

Even the colours are off, making shirts brighter than sun. Do not recommend it, I am personally going back to Fifa 22. Refunded Fifa 23 gladly I was under the 2 hours limit.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite game on steam!

I beat the trylogy 15 times already on origin, now bought legendary edition on steam and i must say Mass Effect 1, they implemented small changes, which made game even more playable. I am still doing 100 % run on mass effect 1 with steam achievements, i do not have to check me2 or 3 before giving the review, as those were master pieces even before remaster.

Almost 200 hours in game time and still playing, thats all i can add.

I thought i never find a game, that i would play indefinitely like Civilization V. It is a first modern strategy game, that beat CIV V for me. There are many possibilities to play the game/strategies and game could go in so different paths. Already 550 hours into the game, and much more to come. Waiting for more DLC's and Patches to come, hopefully they wont change any core mechanincs like planets in Stellaris, which i stopped playing due to patch that changed managing the planets.

This game never ends be prepared for huge time sink while playing it. At the beggining it wasn't so great but with expansions this game is the best of the kind. I`m at 400 hours right now and still haven't touched some scenarios yet. Best part is the multiplayer with friends :)

UPDATE ~ now 500 hours, been trying No Quiters mod. This is a real game changer. Everyone that seeks new challenge should definitely try it :)
