this game dominated my waking life akin to a toxic relationship. it changed me fundamentally as a person. i bent for its every will and whim, for better or for worse. pain was ecstacy and progress was only evaluated by how far muscles could tear, and bones could snap. i forced my paradigms onto it while it struck back with equal fervor. and then it suddenly ended, leaving a void in my heart; the physicality that remained could not be recognized. all the flesh that is eaten, the teeth tearing into it, the tongue tasting its savour, the hunger for that taste- a great endless expanse. the newborn child could not comprehend the world it was abandoned in.
