Boyle's Law states that the pressure of a fixed mass of gas is inversely proportional to its volume at constant temperature.

Kinetic theory of gases
a) The total vol. of the gas particles is negligible compared to the total vol. of container
b) The IMFA (intermolecular forces of attraction) between the gas particles is negligible
c) Gas particles are in continuous random linear motion
d) All collisions between gas particles are prefectly elastic so there is no kinetic energy is lost on collision. Hence the total kinetic energy of the gas particles is constant.


With low pressure the gas would be more ideal as the gas particles would be further apart so the is no foces of attraction between the particles. The assumption of the volume of gas particles is negligible compared to total volume of the container.


With high temperature the gas whould have high kinetic energy and does not attract each other when they collide. The assumption that the IMFA between the gas particles is negligible
