Environment:
A standard PC from 2019.
Totally meets the minimum requirements for the game.
Ryzen 7 2700X processor
RX 590 graphics card with 8GB of RAM
32GB RAM
Pros:
  • It’s a successor to DD.
  • Continues the core concept of the previous series.
  • More advanced, yet sometimes stupid pawns make for a fun journey.
Cons:
  • It’s not a successor to DD:DA.
  • The QOL improvements from the previous series' additional content are missing.
  • Requires more preparation for a more stoic journey than the previous series.
Problems:
  • Worse Performance: After carefully setting up the graphics options, the game rarely crashes (only once in my 8hours play), but AMD Software reports an average FPS of around 35.
  • Missing Terrains: It seems that basic plains are missing, not rocks, roads, or ordinary structures (this was acceptable on the first day, considering I chose RADEON).
Impressions:
The game successfully expands on the core concept of the previous title. I believe that the core concept is truly good, it’s not only enjoyable for the players who have deeply engaged with the original, especially those who have created multiple characters, but also for the new players.
However, there are performance issues and troublesome specifications that might hinder complete enjoyment for some players, especially the new player for the series. For those new to the series, it might be best to wait for a patch that addresses these problems before jumping in.
