Game went through some rough patches after launch. Played a lot on launch and for the first couple of content releases.

Quit for awhile because the game was terrible. Came back for shadowkeep and witch queen playing on and off.

The game is in a much better state now than it used to be. The armor mod changes coming in lightfall will be most welcome

Great game and fun successor.

Some of the story and voice acting is weak but overall the combat and parkour movement make up for it.

Great game. Will be even better once more mods are released. Def a step up from fs17 in many ways but also may feel like a step back in some ways but i Think this is due to the number of mods. I think this will be even better once there are more mods out.

Just so people understand upfront, This game is hard and has a big learning curve. There us virtually no hand holding. If you want help and tips ask some players in game or check out some videos from some players like obsidan ent on youtube. You have to figure things out for yourself in this game and decide what you want to do and what kind of player you want to be. DO you want to be a bounty hunter, a pirate, a miner, a trader, a smuggler, a cruise ship captian, an explorer? there are many different things you can do and many different ways you can outfit your ship to fill the role you want to play. The game takes time and patience to build up your capital and buy the things you want. You should set goals for what you want to accomplish in this game and research what you need to do to reach those goals. Like I said it takes patience and time don't expect to be handed things in this game for free. If you like instant gratification this game isn't for you put in the time you will be rewarded for it and feel accomplished.

Don't Listen to all these people that give this game bad reviews. These are people who are used to the insta gratification that like things to be easy and like to be handed shiny loot after logging in for 5 minutes. Elite Dangerous is a great Sandbox multiplayer space simulator that lets you do whatever you want and makes you figure your things out for yourself. if you cannot handle that then go back to Word of Warcraft and enjoy your easy loot with the rest of the LFR scrubs.
