Wonderful game. At its core, it’s a cross between Minter visuals, Every Extend bomb chaining and a whole lot of careful arcade game design. It can be tough without being stressful, the music (especially The Orb-esque chill out zone tune) is the perfect accompaniment to the game.

Having enjoyed the original, I fully expected to enjoy this rework and remix but even so, I was surprised at how tight it all is. At the time of the review I’ve rocked up ten hours play and I’m looking forward to diving in for more.

An absolute visual feast of a game.

Reminded me a lot of a really early eighties sort of exploration/shooting game and that's no bad thing at all.

Its to Lumo’s credit that it feels like it picks up from where Ritman/Drummond, ACG, The Pickfords and a handful of other producers of not-quite-iso videogames left off. That’s fantastic but time’s moved on and I’m so glad Lumo feels 2016 enough, different enough, that it’s a new thing not a tribute act.

I left Lumo not with a fuzzy hazy feeling of nostalgia but the same sort of excited hope for the future you get when you play a really tremendous new thing. That’ll do me.

Not quite but pretty much almost everything I wanted from it. It's the 50's sci fi planet generator I want to exist within, a remarkable book cover generator when the stars align. With some nice ambient sounds on in the background, a wonderful place to just go and get lost in. With space dinosaurs.

Short, simple but nice enough all the same. Sometimes I just want a daft little thing and to make explosions and this fits the bill perfectly well.
