Origin has many issues launching this game when going through steam. Despite trying to restart and reinstall origin many times, it still would not work. The EA support was completely braindead and useless so my only option was to refund the game. Be aware, EA is still a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ company. The game is fantastic and I wish I could play it, but I can't so hope you have better luck if you give it a try.
