Incredible game design. Death in game is a way of moving forward with the story not losing. Genuinely a fun and fresh experience.

I would like to preface that the game is in EA and this only reflects my opinions of an unfinished product.
If you are interested in this game because of the first WoL, you may be disappointed like I was.
The game seems especially restricted out the gate, im sure that is just the early progression, but the first game let you hit the ground running and discover new features rather than slowly spoon feeding them to you.
The shops and inventories are disappointing with their menus, the art is... fine, and the combat has an awkward pacing.
However all these opinions are based on a comparison to the first game, a finished product that I love to play with friends. I had high hopes for a game (and still do) that is unfinished.
It feels like the game is targeting a younger audience with how it progresses and provides information, but I am looking forward to what is coming for the future.

Phenomenal game!
Pros:
-Great concept
-Great Execution
-Gameplay is fun and engaging
-Accessible to both Chess players and those who have never touched the game before
- Combat/mobility feels good, Headshots are well defined
- Weapon art feels natural to chess pieces

Cons:
-Servers have a slight desync between players (especially harmful for the Queen's Machine gun)
-Bishop Flight can feel really clunky and can get you killed
-No PvE mode at this time
-The Invite from Steam window takes too long to scroll through

Other Comments:
Personally i think this is a 9/10 game; i would pay for it. There are fixable issues with it currently but the game-play itself is really satisfying! I can see myself playing this as much as Super Smash Bros or CSGO. A competitive mode could add value to the game as it improves.
I would love to see other map options in the future.
