If u want a brain dead turn based tactics game with no strategic layer this is the one for u. Recommend getting it on sale though

very cute game

Pretty shallow for an im sim, How transparently simple all its systems are really takes me out of the game, a lot of the things you do like turn in a bounty or whatever have an outcome that is always the same and just leads to a really boring and repetitive time. Majority of the abilities you get to play with are completely useless or just too niche, i only ended up using the same couple of abilities through out my run of the game.
also there's just a lot of annoying little things like managing you and your companions items is such a chore especially when you want to sell junk, instead of having a shared inventory when you're at the trader menu you have to go interact with each companion to grab their loot. Also things like interacting with objects in the game is really finicky, u have to position your character to face the thing perfectly to pick it up or whatever.

I'm sure with in time after a few patches the game will be a little better but I don't see them fixing the fundamental shallowness of the game S:

Obtuse as hell. The game has tutorial pop ups that tell you what things are but they don't tell you what they do or anything. what do the bars and numbers MEAN

the game has a cool look and mood to it. You operate from a walking city sending a squad of mechs that you customized out to collect materials and kill giant bugs, giving them movement commands from a birds eye view and assisting them with artillery strikes. It's really cool but the other stuff like the mech customization SEEMS NEAT but I really don't understand what im doing, the game doesnt really explain well how certain modules or whatever benifit a mech and it's hard to understand if i'm building it optimally or not. I think that kind of stuff can be improved and I hope it does.

Price is a steal, this game is very good.

Little rough around the edges, make sure not to click around when you save your game or it'll crash lol
