This game is spectacularly chill and it scratches a very specific itch in my brain - using a mortal and pestle. Very pretty, good for working through patterns if you've got that kind of brain

I haven't played as much of this game as some people, but I can definitely say that I will be playing more. Usually I put on some music or a podcast as I play a game, but with The Long Dark, I simply let myself fall into the atmosphere.

It's pretty brutal. If you enjoy the raw challenge of game like Don't Starve, then you should love this. It doesn't sugarcoat things. If you don't find food, you die. If you stay outside for too long in the cold, you die. If you get into a struggle with the bear you're hunting? You die.

The art style is very cool. A lot of the items are quite detailed and look pretty good. The character skills are rudimentary but I don't think the game needs anything more detailed. You get a real sense of accomplishment when you complete a task, even if it's something considered basic in real life.

Truly, an amazing game. Many an hour have I spent clowning around with friends, stabbing backs, establishing societies, building rockets. Well worth it, especially in a sale!

Honestly, this is one of the lovliest games I've ever played. Not even gonna bother with a breakdown, and at such a cheap price it's criminal not to buy.

Wow! For what it's worth, this game so far looks very intriguing and complex. I really enjoyed the walkthrough, and the ability to look around while moving was a pleasant surprise. All I can say is that if this game continues its attention to detail and balance of fun and thinking, the end result will be a must-buy :D
