Early Access Review
At first, I thought this might be a touch overpriced for an Early Access game. I'm glad to say I was wrong. Incredibly fast and polished, it is a great addition to the boomer shooter lineup.

Gameplay wise, lets be honest, it's Brutal Doom/Project Brutality. It wears it's Doom inspiration on it's sleeve, from the not-zombiemen to the not-pinkies to the not-lost souls. This is not an insult. Do you like games where you move fast and blow things into tiny pieces? Of course you do. You'll like this.

Some quick thoughts:
-Not sure where Andrew Hulshult got his time turner. I feel like he's doing soundtracks for every game currently in development and they're all fantastic. He's definitely channeling Mick Gordon here and doing it very well.
-I prefer the enemy models over the sprites. Sprites are quaint but I feel the models fit better and are much sharper.
-Sometimes I feel like the gore is a little overboard. Not in a "eww, gross" way but more of a "I can't see the jerk trying to throw fireballs at me because my entire screen is red" way. And option to turn it down a bit would be helpful.
-A few animations are a little jank (the bullrush enemies look like they're sliding when they jump at you) but it's very, very polished for an EA game.
-While I appreciate the textures in the automap it can be a little hard to parse at times. Giving you locations of items and even enemies once you get the map powerup is great however.
-Some of the menus can be slightly clunky with a controller (I tested both controller and keyboard).

This sits right below Dusk as one of my favorite retro shooters.
