I would say this is one of the most obscure roguelike deck\dice games I've played. I'm not that enamoured with the art or characters, and I think the game is possibly a bit more complicated than it needs to be.

I might play some more of this and change my mind... But with what I've played so far, just feels like there are other games that do this kind of thing far better.

Fun little game - I feel like quick blasts for this one the steam deck for fifteen minutes a time is perfect.

I imagine I'll be done with it soon and I probably won't revisit it in he future, but the combat is genuinely challenging and responsive. The story is a bit overdone, but I think for a small game like this, it does kinda of add to the charm a tiny bit.

I never owned a PS1 but have always enjoyed the final fantasy games I have played (kinda randomly 1, 3, 10, 13, 14, 15 and a few spin offs by this point). I also knew how highly regarded this game was, and for years I've tried to get into it, and finally I decided to persevere this Christmas.

It has jank. It has aged. But once I got far enough into it, I was hooked in. I really enjoyed the story, and I can see why it's so lived by it's fans - I imagine this could be one of those RPGs I may revisit in the future (aside from now being sorry excited to play through the remakes!)

Just to add that I did use a couple of graphics mods - I feel like doing so made getting into the game that much easier.

So this caught me by surprise because it wasn't what I expected going in. Though that's probably on me not watching trailers or reading much about the game before diving in.

I thought this would be a simple collection of arcade style mini games, but I don't think that's accurate. It's got a bit more of a story to it (pretty basic, serviceable I suppose) where you inherit a laundromat and you slowly convert it to a gaming arcade. You get to play each of the machines you buy for the arcade, many of which seem to be cheap imitations of other older arcade games.

So a lot of the 'game' revolves around getting this business going, which is a fun enough distraction, but gets quite samey very quickly, and quite early on found it difficult to enjoy the arcade games because I was constantly being pulled away to do menial tasks such as empty the dryers.

It is a fun game overall, I would recommend, but I imagine most people will get sick of the repetitive loop after a while.

I've now played through this twice - once on PS4 and now on PC.

One of my favourite franchises to come out of this last generation. I haven't enjoyed a game's story since this much since maybe Mass Effect.

So it goes without saying - an amazing story, but also graphics and gameplay! Really like Aloy as a main character too. I decided this time to go for everything, it's that good.

Even the included dlc, which I never played on PS4, is meaningful and expands the game in a great way. I'll certainly be picking up the follow on games down the line!

Reminds me a lot of dead cells, which was very good.

I would say this is up there with some of the better roguelikes I've played, and definitely has a fun gameplay loop.

Story and world seem ok, but I don't personally feel all that invested in it. That's ok though as I'll keep coming back because the gameplay loop is that good.

Played through this originally on switch years ago, but played through it again on steam deck recently. Just as good as I remembered.

Starts off quite easy, but eventually gets very hard, where the precision of your jumps and dashes mean life or death. And it's never unfair about it.

It's also got amazing art and a sweet story and set of characters to go with it. Really love this game.

Very faithful to the anime, and quite enjoyable. Some scenes were quite well done, but in other places, just stick to the anime. For example, the fight with frieza is iconic, but not so much in this.

Never played the original, but this was a great time, with genuine jump scare moments. Just make sure you come in knowing it's over two centuries old at this point, which means controls won't be like on modern games, and the design is very much of it's time (very little hand-holding). Even down to the lack of camera controls (the camera will always face in a certain direction, depending on where in the scene you are) - it's all very old school, but honestly adds to the horror with helpless it makes you feel.
