truly a treasure. WOTR stands amongst the top of the CRPG genre and is a showcase of pathfinder 1e in all of the best that it was. This game has brilliant combat and is perfect for those who want a good dungeon crawl, but at the same time has a fantastic story with a stunning amount of depth. Furthermore, this is a game that really does react to your decisions. Wrath of the Righteous is a fantastic game. I cannot throw enough praise at this game it really is that great. It stands with the greatest of CRPGs to have ever been made and is definitely worth playing.

My review of the game as a game first.... It's ok. The game isn't anything revolutionary. There are bugs, not many of them are game breaking in my experience, but they do happen and more often than not, it's just annoying. Thankfully, saving and reloading seems to fix these issues 8/10 times or so. The combat is ok. The weapon variety is ok. The skill trees are ok. Point is, the game, when taking a look at the systems in place comes out to ok. But... the game is not merely it's systems and loops.
CDPR went all in on making a game with an immersive and believable city filled with unique interactable people, and it's all quality. Every time I did a side quest, it felt unique and interesting and my god, I actually listened to dialogue for once in a game instead of just skipping over it. This game is beautiful, and I'm not just talking about graphics. It goes out of your way to make you believe this place could exist, despite the sci-fi tech and the gangs and the extreme corporations. Night City is amazingly well made. And all this is backed up by an amazingly well written story.
As I said earlier, I actually listened to dialogue in this game. And for good reason, the dialogue is amazingly voice acted, and it's very rare that I felt that the line wasn't delivered exactly on point. Most of the times that I had a problem with delivery, it was a problem with how I imagined my character would respond to something vs how he actually responded. This combines with the story to make a compelling game to play through. A game that I spent 50 hours on, without even realizing it. I know 50 hours doesn't seem like much, and even I don't feel like it's that much for this genre, but I nevertheless am satisfied because each of those 50 hours were unique and of good quality.
Overall though, this game... is it worth it?
Yes? No? it's hard to say. This is by no means a must buy I think. It's a great game, but I really do think it's a bit much for $60. The visuals sure say it's worth that much and the size of the world and the quality of it says it's worth that much, but after playing through the game once, and now that I'm writing this review, I'm left wondering if my money was worth it. This isn't bad, but it's not the kind of thought I have when I finish a great game.
So then when should you buy this? I would say, when it's on sale or if an expansion comes out (but then you go into a whole nother discussion on the expansion).

Good game that suffers from the same problems as pretty much every live service game.

idk, bg1 was kind of slow and so I could never seem to really get going there... this game starts off at lvl 7 so if you start off being able to handle combat much more easily. Basically, get BG1 if you like starting at lvl 1 and can handle the annoyingly cliche origin story at the beginning, get BG2 if you want to skip all that.

Early Access Review
good game, but very clearly in early access, I'd wait a while until the game becomes more stable and nears a full release

Not worth it, Tropico 5 is a better game with more depth, is easier to get into and has more content.

BUT BIG BRIDGE!
