A Trial of this game was attached to my account through a Humble Bundle code for The Bridge. Due to the way it was set up, it's unremovable. I tried the Steam Support automated page and it will not work with this.

If they did things correctly, it would have showed up as a demo and had been able to be removed from your license history at a click of a button. Instead it shows up in your account as a full version of the game, but there's a button in the game which leads to a place to purchase the 'full version'.

When I made mention of this in the game's forum, I was immediately banned by the devs.

If you want to support devs that use underhanded tactics, that is up to you.

In game purchases are broken. Half the time you will get charged and get nothing for it.

This game is a scam.

They will charge people and oftentimes do not give them their chests. Players will think it didn't go through on Valve's side and make a second purchase. Most won't notice while playing late at night and they won't fix the problem unless or until you notice and write a ticket at their site. There are no refunds. They'll just toss you the microtransaction which didn't work (if you're lucky).

The bug that caused this has been there for months and they've done nothing to correct it. Why should they when it's a good way to exploit people?

Imagine a gimped out WoW with downsyndrome and microtransaction hell. That is Elder Scrolls Online. The only thing that's Unlimited is the amount of microtransactions you'll have to pay for to make this game feel anything like a playable game. Otherwise you'll feel almost like you're behind a paywall.

This is exactly why you shouldn't buy a game upon release. And with publishers releasing broken games and abandoning them, you can't really preorder without getting screwed either.

Either way. . . the game is inconsistant with the storylines, plays like an MMO with no multiplayer, and is not very optimized. So even with a free PDF, it's not worthwhile. If you really must, wait a few more months and I'm sure it will be 75% off.

Another P2W game by Trion Worlds. The entire purpose of this game is to suck up money from lazy people with bad budgeting skills.

There will be a ton of people trying to defend this as not P2W. But anything where you pay real money for any in-game advantages is P2W. The only non-P2W models I've seen so far are cosmetics only.

On top of that, the attacks seemed awkward in comparison to most top down diablo-esk action RPGs.

It doesn't seem a terrible game at all so far except for the fact that when you think you're getting somewhere and you're getting back into the game - SERVER WIPE.

If stuff like this bothers you, it's best to wait until after Early Access (sometime 20 years down the road maybe).

This game is a poor excuse for even a port.

1. Consistantly crashes on a high end machine.
2. Jumps from 15-30FPS and is locked at 30FPS. (I use a GTX 980)
3. Bad joystick support and no keyboard and mouse support, yet doesn't say a 360 controller is required on the store page.
4. 'HD' graphics are about as HD as Donkey Kong Jr on the Colecovision. You can play it on 1080, but the graphics look no different.

If you already bought this, I'd recommend getting a refund. If you pre-purchased it for the Dota2 items, get a refund and just wait until Sept. 2nd. You will be able to buy those items on the Steam Marketplace dirt cheap at that point.

As long as the masses continue to buy bad ports, companies like this will continue to put out bad ports. Vote with your money - Get a refund or don't buy at all.

This is coming from a fanboy who's been playing FF games since FF1 came out for the NES.

After comfirmation that this will never go F2P like the first did, I buy it - only for it to be almost immediately put into a cheap Groupees Be Mine bundle before I even had a chance to really install and play it. Sadly, I bought it directly from the devs or I would be going for a refund right now.

Stay away from any Reverie World Studios games. I bought this one with the premise that I wasn't throwing my money to the wind. I was wrong. I bought the first one believing it wouldn't go F2P or have P2W transactions. P2W transactions for dragons was added immediately afterward. Then later, it went F2P with them giving me a free temporary 'premium' which went to waste.

Day 1 DLC and microtransactions on a $60 game. Why did I buy this? A decade ago, publishers would have called this an extended playable demo and it would be free. And if you liked it, you'd pay full price for the rest of the game.

People would have fun mastering the special end moves. People would learn the characters by playing through with each of them to unlock different characters and suits. . . . . Now, instead, you're supposed to just pay extra for anything.

Why are people supporting these tactics?
