My city just got deleted because when I click to leave game, I change my mind to cancel and stay in but the X button exits without saving, with no warning prompt. When I make a new city and try to exit it right away, it prompts me to save before exiting, and if I don't save it won't exit.

~I’m a huge Paradox fan. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on their games… easily the majority of my gaming spending for years. I’ve recommended them to all of my gamer friends.

I was such a fan that I I overlooked the fact that all their games are buggy incoherent messes – made less and less stable with each update… updates that fans pay for with DLC.

But now I’m deleting all of my games now and never coming back.

Why? I just got suspended from the Paradox forum because, in a lengthy post suggesting economics fixes, I incidentally criticized communism.

Communism. You know… the ideology that has killed ~10x more people than Hitler and over 2x as many people as Genghis Khan.

My family fled communist Cuba as refugees while the Castro regime was killing tens of thousands of people and putting tens of thousands more into slave camps (mostly gays, hippies and religious minorities).

So this is dead serious stuff for me.

This suspension proved to me that the pro-communist content in Surviving Mars and Stellaris aren’t just flukes. The company has become openly pro-communist and will censor anything in their forum that criticizes communism.

So to hell with them. I’m setting all my games on fire and never looking back.
