The best 30 hours you can spend on a SNES, now in Steamdeck form!

I typically don't play a lot of soulslike games but this one piqued my interest. The game is very clear about which attacks need to be dodged and which attacks can only be parried. Got through all of it in about 11 hours and now am considering a playthrough on the hardest difficulty. Good game!

It only shows 6 hours on my steam profile, but make no mistake; I have played thousands of hours of DOOM via sourceports like GZDoom, Zandronum/Skulltag, and PRBoom+. I have played through countless MegaWADs and have run Total Conversions that turned DOOM into things like Kart Racers, a Metroid Prime game, and seemingly full 3d Survival Horror. This one of the most important games ever released. This Port is the latest, and most accessible way to experience the joy that is DOOM.

As for port specific things to note:
- You get The Ultimate DOOM (1), DOOM II, Plutonia, TNT, The Master Levels of DOOM II, John Romero's SIGIL, and a brand new level set in Legacy of Rust.
- Online Deathmatch and COOP
- A modern control scheme with WASD, but without things that would break DOOM's game/level design like crouching, jumping, and mouselook free-aim
- A ton of previously unreleased DOOM concept/prototype art and assets.
- A Community Mod Market, with tons of WADS to download.

No, you can't play Brutal DOOM, Project Brutality, or other WADs/PK3s that utilize GZDOOM with it.

Overall, this is the perfect way to dip your toes into DOOM. Even though I'm a GZDOOM fiend, this will probably be the way I run my vanilla playthrus of DOOM, DOOM 2, FINAL DOOM etc.

It's great solo but add 1-5 more people and it becomes the perfect beat em up party game! It's retro while not feeling like it's too stuck in the past. One of the best beat em ups in the past 5 years, and probably one of the best of all time.

"DRS has now been enabled. You can now use DRS in the DRS zones if you are within one second of the car in front."

Early Access Review
Not as polished as the original, but KF 2 is slowly getting there. Tripwire is finally listening to a larger amount of the playerbase now. I love the original and I now love this one as well.

Don't get me wrong, this game has it's faults. However, it is a blast planning everything out and perfectly stealthing a mission. It's even more fun when things somehow go horribly wrong and you have to shoot your way out of everything. There's a lot of depth here but you have to deal with a frustrating mission browser and random drops to get attachments to make your guns suck less. Overall, it's a great game.
