“I was taking a bath,” Elayne said in a tight voice. As if they could not see
that with her hair done up and her robe clinging to her damply. Essande was
almost quivering with indignation, which meant she must be beside herself with
fury. Elayne felt close to it herself. “I will be taking a bath again as soon as you
go. I will speak with you when I have finished taking my bath. If it pleases the
Light.” There! If they were going to shove into her rooms, let them chew on that
