Cassette Beasts is a great game, and dare I say the best current Pokeclone available on Steam!

The gameplay within the game is so addicting, and brought out the "5 more minutes" excuse I always used to give out when I were a child. The world is pretty big in reality, and you are free to explore as you please once you've done the tutorial. You will need new abilities to reach other areas, but rather than be giving in HMs like Pokemon, you have to catch a monster who holds the ability you need to unlock the ability for yourself.

The battling is quite different to Pokemon, moves are given as stickers, you can peel off stickers and put them onto other tapes/ monsters and gives incredible versatility. The battles are usually 2v2, and you are stuck with having a partner 99% of the game.

One big thing that swperates this game from Pokemon, is the fusion aspect. You can fuse any 2 monsters within the game to create a super strong monster who shares the moves of both monsters and combines their stats to become uber strong. Catching monsters is also different, you can't just throw a quick ball on turn 1 - one player will need to sacrifice a turn to put their headphones on and "record" the monster you want to catch, although this leaves the user recording open to being attacked by monsters, which not only will decrease the catch rate, you also run the risk of the character being made to pass put after too much damage.

The final few things I'll touch on are the music, multiplayer, and monster design...

The music is astounding. Joel Bayliss has smashed it out of the park with the beats created for this game. There's a couple tracks in particular that hit different but when you reach the first town and enter the first building... Jheeze.... just go YouTube Joel Bayliss - Wherever We Are. Incredible. I literally sat there for 10 minutes just listening.

The monster design is probably the weakest part of the game for me, and this being a monster catcher game you'd think this should be a much bigger issue, but it isn't, the game drawer me in with so many other factors, this became a sub note - although it did result in me sticking to the same old monsters and not really trying to learn type effectiveness.

Finally the multilayer, you can play locally on the same PC with 2 players, and you can also play online with upto 8 players I think. This hives you the whole game world to explore together and trade/ battle/ etc. I never really delved into this side of the game but it's there for those that want it.

Highly recommended title, it sucked 30 hours out of me before I even thought about loading a different game up, and I will be for sure going back to sweep up the last 25 or so achievements I need!

Wrestling Empire is probably the most fun wrestling game I have ever played. It is not the best wrestling game, or the most indepth, but it is incredibly fun - and isn't that why any of us play games in the first place?

You will need to utilise the workshop and download a couple mods if you want real wrestler names/ music/ etc. You can have up to 50 wrestlers in the ring and it is nothing short of ridiculous! The career mode is where the majority of people spend their time and that mode is crazy, wrestlers can die and all sorts!

The game is made by a single person, Matt Dickie, because of this the game has some incredible jank, and to be honest, probably has the worst menu set up I have ever seen in my decades of being a gamer. But again it is so ridiculously fun, you can overlook these issues.

The developer has already spoken about a few future features he'd like to bring to the game - the ability to romanticise in career mode being one of them. Personally, I would love to see a local 2 player career mode.

I couldn't recomend this game enough to any wrestling fans that want to recapture the fun they had back in the day, be it with the N64 wrestling titles or whatever, this is peak fun.

Fun little game well worth the £3 I paid in a sale.

It's a short game, it'll only take about 5-6 hours for the average gamer to get every single achievement, and it's very light in regards to actual gameplay, but it's fun.

You play as Turnip Boy, running errands for Mayor Onion to gain back the deeds for your greenhouse home after ripping up the tax bill! The game mainly consists of fetch quests with you to-ing and fro-ing within the games worlds to give required items to the required npcs.

The game world itself has a few areas, with each main area holding its own small dungeon and boss.

The games story made me smile as it started to grow, no pun intended. But it left me wanting to see more from the world and I felt it had seeded potential. Again, no pun intended.

Once you cplete the game, you unlock a train that features as an infinite dungeon, you can unlock various hats through this feature, and it also contains a surprise or two!

Game options also include 3x damage and a God mode, so the game is also playable by the very youngest gamers!

Fun game, highly recommended if onnsale or in a bundle!

Before starting this review, I will say I bought the game for £5.99 - and that is a massive reason this game has a positive recommendation from me, rather than a negative.

It took me a couple years to finally get around to purchasing this game. I loved REmake 2, but the OG RE2 was a classic from my childhood. RE3 on the other hand, I never really liked, it was always more of an expansion pack than a third game in the trilogy. But nevertheless, here we are.

So REmake 3, this really should've just been a DLC pack for RE3. It's fun, yes. The Nemesis chase scenes are fun, yes. Walking the streets of Raccoon City for 45 minutes is fun, yes.

But the game doesn't offer much else in reality. I have just finished my first playthrough, clocking in at a grand total of 3 hours. Bare in mind, I went in blind and was playing on 'hard'. I remember the OG title being very short when compared to 2 and its scenarios - but this game has cut content from the OG. The big omission for me, was the thing that made the game standout and have replayability the branching paths. This is no longer a thing - you have a set path, and you must follow it.

The controls feel spot on, the graphics look great. It's what we expect from the RE Engine at this point, but there is just not enough game content there in reality, this shouldn't be justifiable as a full price release.

Fun title if you can pick it up for cheap on a sale or something! But it doesn't compare to REmake 2.

I originally bought Kingdoms and Castles on Early Access release many years ago. I had quite a bit of fun with the beta version I played, but it fell to the wayside in my library as I kept amassing more titles.

Upon finding out the devs were working on another city builder in Nova Roma, it reminded me that I really should check out the finished version of K&C, to see how it ended up, as I enjoyed the early template.

It's a great title, with two vastly different ways to play, I feel. Well, three different ways - but I've only really played two.

So the first way is casual mode in peaceful. There are no barbarians, no wolves, no dragons, just you trying to build up your village to the biggest capacity you can. A very serine mode where the hours can just pass you by.

Then you have difficulty settings which will turn enemies on, as your population increases, you'll start being attacked by groups of barbarians, or a dragon (or 3), every few minutes. The waves will keep increasing in size as you beat them, and the barbarians even start to bring giant ogres with them to knock down your defenses. I enjoy this mode bit I find it takes away from building aesthetic castles, I find myself just covering my kingdom with giant 2x2 sky towers of doom. If I try to wall anything off, I find myself just wasting resources repairing it every few minutes. I find this goes against why I enjoyed the game in the first place, I like building fancy kingdoms!

There is a third way to play, with other rulers building kingdoms. You can have up to 3 other kingdoms in your world, dependant on map size, but I didn't really delve in to this too much, as I found the battling aspect of K&C to be somewhat lacking. I find it excels at being a chill city builder where you can kick back and relax.

The game has a rather limited building selection in reality, but don't let that detract from the fun to be had with this title. I was also pleasantly surprised to see it still sits at a low price of £12. Highly recommended title, and I look forward to seeing what the next game brings!

Carto is a fantastic little title with an incredibly original premise.

The world around you is your puzzle. You collect map pieces as you adventure, and you have to utilise these by rearranging the map, flipping the pieces, etc. This affects your world, amd your world changes as you spin and move the map pieces around trying to figure out the puzzles.

Some of the puzzles can make you think pretty hard and will make you scratch your head.

There's 10 chapters to the games story, with 20 achievements to get, with 10 of them being cryptic, secret achievements.

I highly recomend this title for anyone looking for a casual adventure title that will ensure you use your brain at times.

Fantastic title. I've owned Mini Metro for years. My playtime doesn't do it justice, as I've played an insurmountable amount of hours offline.

It's an incredibly simple game in reality. You have little passengers in the shape of literal shapes, circles, squares, triangles, etc. These passengers need to be traversed to the corresponding shaped station.

It's that simple.

You start each game with 3 different train lines, and 3 train engines. You can start using 1 line with 3 trains, or 3 lines with 3 trains - the choice is yours, and you can change your choices on the fly as the game progresses. You draw a line from one station to another, to represent the train track, and away you go.

As each ingame week goes by you usually get a train engine, and the choice of another thing, be it another engine, a new train line, a carriage for a train, or even station upgrades so they can hold more passengers.

The aim of the game is to ferry as many passengers as you can before getting overwhelmed. Each passenger represents a point, and eventually when you have too many passengers waiting at one station, a timer will start to tick down - fail to move those passengers in time and its game over.

I only have a couple achievements left with this game now, and will finally be moving on from it due to the sequel now being quite developed (Mini Motorways).

Solid game and a great addition to those who enjoy casual strategy games.

One of the most fun & beautiful open worlds I've ever played in.

I see all the negative points about this being "shallow", but I put 500+ hours into the original Red Dead Online, and that lacked missions of note. I spent countless hours just enjoying the world with my posse, I had a few things I wanted bringing into the game but they never did.

Now we have them.

Lassos
Fishing
Hunting
A TRAIN!!

I'm only 15 hours into my RDO journey so far, but I can safely say already this will be glorious.

The grind doesn't bother me, as I'm not the sort of player who needs it all right now, I enjoy the natural playstyle, slowly unlocking things, adding longevity to a world & gameplay I love spending time with.

The game isn't filled with toxicity like it is GTAV, griefers aren't a constant issue, & you are never attacked from the air by homing rockets from a flying car! If you read this review whilst the Online aspect is £5, buy it. If it's gone upto £20, buy it. If you want the full game for £50 or whatever, buy it.

This game is so fun, from fistfights at dawn, through hunting wolves with knives, to taking all your mates money at poker, I love this game and just how fun it is, something games seem to forget to be lately.

A little, chill, game.

This game won't last you weeks, you may not come back to ever play it again when you uninstall it... But you will enjoy the little time you spend with it.

Islanders is a sweet little strategy/ city builder game with a very simplistic look & feel to it. When you start a new game, you start out on your first island, and you get a pack of buildings. Your objective is to now place those buildings, & dependant on the building & placement, you get points... You need points to progress, when you get your first pack, you need 20 points, easy.

Upon hitting 20 points, you can then unlock a second pack of buildings, & the cycle continues until you earn enough points to move onto the next island.

All in all, it's simple, I can't say that enough, but it is enjoyable, & can get pretty deep when you're thinking ahead trying to squeeze every last inch of your island for maximum potential.

Great game that's well worth a purchase during a Steam Summer/ Winter sale. I'd say it was worth full price but I don't envision myself coming back more than a couple more times. 7/10

Early Access Review
Finished the first island when I last played, impressions;

This is a Pokemon clone, no doubt about it, from the way you catch, through how you heal, to how you even get a gift monster from the professor in your home town... But it's looking like a fantastic little Pokemon clone, & something I think I'll end up sinking many, many hours into over time.

It's really nice creating your own avatar when you start up & makes each player character look very individual. The monsters, some really cool ones, some not so cool ones, so just like Pokemon on that front. The game even has a few monsters it could use as a Pikachu type mascot.

The battles I enjoy more than Pokemon, strategy is more involved, & the stamina system is a much better way of handling moves & stamina than the PP system ever was. A monster always knows all its moves it's ever learnt, but can only use 4 at a time, doesn't "forget" them like Pokemon. The levels you evolve your monsters at is also differently handled to how Pokemon does it, with it being relevant to when you catch the monster, so for example, the "Pidgey" type monster on the first route evolves 7 (I think) levels after you catch him, so if caught at level 2, evolves at 9, but if caught at level 14, evolves at 23. There are "shiny" Temtem called Luma, with a 1/6000 chance of spawning. You can also see the equivilant of EVs when catching, which is fantastic & makes hunting for a better monster fun.

The game isn't an MMO at all yet, you can play the game in co-op, and see everyone else running around, who you can add or use emotes with. It's a shared world with the prospect of becoming an MMO when the game is finished.

The cons I have so far are all really concerned with it being Early Access, server issues are mainly sorted but still pop up from time to time, TemTem not leveling up, or being able to learn new moves before logging out/ back in, not enough monsters as you progress but there's only 75 or somsters out of around 200 added so far.

Overall, I'd say if you like Pokemon, jump in now, it's already a good game & has potential to be amazing... if you're on the fence, wait out Early Access & see how the game evolves. ;)

Look out for me ingame, dressed in black/ blue, username is same as here; richisdisturbed
