Bought to scratch my autistic itch. Stayed for the music.

This game tickles my autistic brain and I love it.

It's really good.

There are a few kinks to work out:
- Visibility of the UI for one (some things blend in with another and it's hard to notice them at a glance).
- When holding the dice you cannot replace the die already on the field (which would be the expected behaviour for me personally).
- At the first few floors AI of some enemies heals out the damage you deal to them.
- Some of the writing is a bit too ambitious with its style, making sentences that are just a tiny bit too long (like this one).

I will most probably buy this day 1, since the world really needs more good deck building games.

The game suffers from "Source engine mod syndrome" - bugs, crashes and tedious gameplay by modern standards. I'm dissapointed to say the least.

Help me

Graphical glitches (right after lunching and even after relaunching the game few times).
Sound glitches (first launch, I had no sound at all, second only some, on third it finally started working correctly).
Super clunky combat (I understand when it's supposed to be difficult but here, it's just non-functional). Half of the time I don't know if I'm hitting the guy or not.
Visuals although stunning at first, show their uncanny valley teeth, when it comes to humans and reliance on cheap shader effects, when it comes to other visuals.
Lockpicking mini-game is atrocious, I don't understand how would you even come up with something like this. Being drunk and high wouldn't cut it I think, you'd have to be on another plane of existence.

In general this seems like I was hyped a bit too much for this game when it finally went on reasonable sale to appreciate it. Or maybe I'm spoiled by other games. Who knows.
In it's current state, this seems like an early access game, not a full product to me.

Less clunky than Unity. Devs actually care about the engine. Many quality of life things already built-in. Open-source (don't like something? Just fork it on Github and make your own version).

But also. Less mature. Less groundbreaking tech. 3D is still kinda eh.

For me personally, *this* is the one I'll pour my hours into now.
It's good.

EDIT:
4.0 is a massive update to the engine, brings rewrites and fixes across the board (they even fixed Steam hour tracking). 3D is usable and getting pretty. 2D performance is slower on this version on the Forward+ rendering engine, at least until it's fixed.
Still amazing, still using it.

Good but needs a lot of mods (including graphical ones) to be playable.
