King Solomon turned to his minister and requested of him a ring. Not any ordinary ring - but one with magical powers. One that could make a sad man happy and a happy man sad. His minister Benaiah, although confused and reluctant, started his search. He looked all over for the ring the King described, but everyone he turned to frowned and sent him on his way.

Finally, upon entering the slums of Jerusalem, he found his way to a craftsman who worked with metal. The craftsman, upon hearing his strange request, turned to his grandfather. After being silent for a while, the craftsman's grandfather dissapeared into his workshop without saying a word. A while later he reappeared - holding a simple gold ring. The moment the man handed Benaiah the ring, his eyes lit up. He thanked both men wholeheartedly and made his way to the King as fast as he could.

When Benaiah presented the ring to the King, Solomon looked rather suprised. There should be no such thing. A ring with magical powers? One that could make a sad man happy and a happy man sad? Nevertheless, the King inspected the ring thoroughly - after which he smiled and nodded.

Engraved into the side of this simple gold ring, he read the following words: "This too, shall pass."
