This DLC is an essential purpose that greatly amplifies the enjoyment you can squeeze out of the whole game.
Te DLC provides meaningful and incredible new features such as new trees, bushes, and waterfalls that will be sure to bring a smile to even the saddest peoples in the world. Also included are various traps so you can devise devious and deadly traps to eviscerate your unfortunate guests, or at least imagine it because sadly you can't harm guests.

Overall the DLC is the good value especially on the sale of 50% and is appealing to anyone on Steam who likes trees.

L4D2: “One of the most exciting games on Xbox 360.”

by Connor "Revalopod" Mason

On October 16th, 2007 Left 4 Dead introduced a new kind of zombie apocalypse for players to experience. The game has been a massive success and has spawned a sequel. Here is the story.

In the year 2010, humanity is all but extinct. The zombie virus has destroyed the natural world, as well as our culture and technology. Our only hope for survival is the four survivor survivors of a west coast college. Their journey leads them through a massive forest, across a flooded city, and into the heart of the nation’s capital, in a race against the deadly zombie horde.

The sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, is an epic side-scrolling shooter in the classic tradition. But the new gameplay is very important. If you’re familiar with previous XBLA zombie shooters, then this won’t be a surprise. You’ve got:

  • 20+ maps,

  • Power-ups that all work pretty much like they do in the original Left 4 Dead.

  • A strong campaign mode that expands upon the original Left 4 Dead.

  • Level editor,

  • Leaderboards,

  • Extra characters,
and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Some of the new features will be fresh for you, while others will be old hat. For example:
  • -Communication. This is going to be a massive boon for new players. You’ll be able to message your team mates as well as the other survivors in the game.

  • -Collectibles. Have you ever wanted to find some of those scavenged metal bars in the levels? Here you go!

  • -New character types. This is one of the most welcome upgrades for new players. In Left 4 Dead, the player character is always a muscular male wearing a mask. Now in Left 4 Dead 2 you have a couple options:

    • A muscular female protagonist.

    • A lumberjack.

  • -Bounties. Each of the survivors has their own set of bounty. Some are immediate bonuses, others are available for 24 hours. If you can complete them, you’ll receive a bonus.
There is so much to enjoy in Left 4 Dead 2. It’s not just a port of the original. This game is huge. The co-op gameplay is as robust as ever, and now the encounters are much more dangerous. Enemies and their defenses are much more cunning than they were in the original game.

Overall, I have no doubt that Left 4 Dead 2 will be a huge hit. It will bring back that energy we all felt when we first opened the first game for the first time. This is what the video game industry was created for. I encourage all the hardcore zombie fans out there to pick this game up, and download the special Left 4 Dead 2-only maps from the Internet. Then, show the world that we’re still alive! We’re not going down without a fight.

In the meantime, I’m going to keep my eye out for some zombie-free

You know the feeling when you have a cold and you have a runny nose and snot is dribbling out so you try to suck the snots back in but you can't because your nose is also blocked?

This game is the exact antithesis to that.

Katara Zer0 is an action packed neo-noir scifi dystopian thriller concerning an ostracised samurai who is murdering people and isn't know why. you kill nearly everyone and takes their lives away and get high on drugs for day. the psychiatrist is a character whom exists soley for the purpose of a secret boss fight and otherwise has zero (hence the name: katana zero) relevance to any plot or story in the game, so they are the filler, the crème de la crème you might say, of the story.

most levels require you to complete the level to win. this is often accomplished by doing what you need to do, more often than not this means you parry them with your fist until they die. katana is the weapon of choice for pun reasons and deaths result in red pixels to stimulate your adrenal glands until they palpitate with joy. thus when you finally beat the game, you don't regret a single day or 2.

the story makes your brain contemplating about what it all means and that's the proof of a great writing and story, up there with breakin bad, dark, and doctor who
the voice acting is almost as good as Warframe and that's the highest praise you can know.

gunplay is not present here, because when you pick up a gun, you can choose to throw it, or not. this isn't as fun as other games where the guns emit bullet, so katara zero loses a point. 9/10

top down shooter is a hotline Miami with a great story and characters. you must deliver pizza and Kill people relentlessly until you win without being dead too. the addictive is much for my 59 hours of play and I haven't even achieved most of the achievements so this game is surely one worth your time, money and keyboard presses. I recommend it for 15+ because the blood contains more pixels than a 14 year old and younger.

the sequel which is aptly and ironically titled Hotline (phone) Miami 2: Wrong Number (phone number) doesn't review in Australia so this addendum will be specialized for such occasion: less.

Not a full review, more of a complaint of the 15th ani update. This is the worst update I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing in my whole life of gaming.

Positives
  1. Gish's physics
No longer will you randomly go inside-out or die when trying to jump or land lightly on a surface. Gish feels much better to control. This is the only thing this update is good for.
  2. Previous version
The update is so bad, that the ability to choose the previous version is the biggest positive. (Go to the game in the library, go to properties, go to betas, and choose 1.7)

Neutral
  1. Widescreen support
The widescreen support is actually just the game zoomed in/cropped so you see less, it actually looked a bit better before it had widescreen support
  2. Updated visuals
The only thing that's different is a bit of light on Gish. Not really even noticeable.

Negatives
  1. The new "Lost Levels"
There is literally no new content in the update whatsoever. The Lost Levels aren't new at all and already existed in previous versions from years ago.
  2. No level editor
The level editor was one of the biggest reasons Gish was so fun to me. It had one of the most complex level editors for a 2d game ever, but was very user unfriendly. I was hoping the update would improve the level editor, not remove it entirely. I was also hoping for Steam workshop support for easy level/campaign sharing, but obviously updates mean we have to delete everything, not add anything!
  3. No custom levels
You can't load any community made levels. Some of the community campaigns were better than the official campaign. The previous version also included most community made levels in it already, the new update deletes all this.
  4. No difficulty selection
The game is now defaulted to the easiest difficulty, rendering the lives mechanic redundant and ruining the incentive to explore levels to find more lives.
  5. No small Gish mode
A side effect of the deletion of difficulties, now you can't pick small Gish mode :(
  6. Achievements are broken
Not a single achievement can be unlocked. And even if achievements DID work, some would be impossible because they're tied to a certain difficulty, which do not exist anymore.
  7. Terrible menus
Can't change resolution or change key bindings like you previously could.
  8. No telekinesis
The secret telekinesis block is still there, but you don't get any powers.
  9. Removed VS modes
Some of the Versus modes are removed.
  10. No level select
The only levels you can specifically select to play are the Lost levels. The old level select is gone.
  11. No save slots anymore
  12. An Egypt secret level is missing
  13. No blood
Killing enemies or injuring Gish no longer make particles come out. A very noticeable downgrade
  14. Missing many sound effects
    Rop/chains breaking, collecting coins, etc.
  15. No level summary screen
No screen to tell you how many secrets you found and how much you collected, etc.
  16. Some missing animations
Some lava animation is missing, some water in a Lost level is missing animation, etc.

In conclusion, the Steam version of Gish is utter garbage and no one should even consider buying it. It completely ruins one of my all-time favourite games. I fail to understand why any developer would update their 15 year old game by removing a ton of features and barely changing anything else, and adding literally NOTHING to compensate. An utter embarrassingly shameful disgrace.
