Awesome sequel to the first, runs pretty decent in 90% of areas, haven't encountered any crashes or any unplayable performance issues like when it launched. The story is self contained, progression is excellent, lots of little lore drops from the Old Republic era, and even a few nods to the KotOR series scattered throughout the world.

Combat, level design, and visuals are also top notch. Game isn't too difficult (besides the Rancor...). Lots of love went into this. Lots of awesome little details in the animation of BD-1, like him admiring a nice view, or getting visually nervous when you start to sink in quick sand. Plenty of side quests and collectables to keep you distracted too. Finding different clothes is way more exciting now too, because.. NO PONCHO! Customization overall is way better than the first game.

Overall, very enjoyable, can't wait to play the 3rd one (if it runs when it releases)

I wanted this to be great, I don't know how hard it could have been, but immediately, right off the bat, this whole thing just feels super unpolished. I understand, it's an old game, but somehow the elements that they "overhauled" feel even more clunky and less functional than the 2005 version. They did a UI overhaul for the menus, and it's pretty horrendous. When you first launch, there's a menu where you select which of the two games you want to play. This menu looks AMAZING. And then as soon as you launch either game, the jank begins. You can see how the old menus were just repackaged into a new, dumbed down UI. The instant action menu is so dumbed down that is's borderline unusable. The menu backgrounds in general look strange, but especially the instant action menu. It looks like there are two arrows that didn't make it to the final cut that were left baked into the background, and they look very AI upscaled.

Single-player gameplay is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, the classic game but HD. Looks pretty decent. Some sound effects were replaced, and some weren't. In the campaign however, there are very jarring cuts between HD clips from the movies, and the old school 2005 cinematics that were recorded in the original game engine. The old cinematics look awful. I just played the 2005 edition yesterday, and they look identical. If they're charging over $30 for a "remaster" and you're going to insert clips from the HD, cinema quality movies, it seems like it would make sense to re-create the cinematics with their fancy new game that they just made, rather than just running the old 480p clips through an upscaler or whatever crap this is.

The multiplayer during the first hour after launch is pretty much not functional, but that's kind of how every game is nowadays so I'll give them a pass for now. I was only able to see 3 total dedicated servers on PC, all of them for BF2. Couldn't see any servers for BF1, and the one I managed to get into on BF2 was really laggy, probably because of how many people were trying to join. Not sure if it's a region thing, but I'm in US East.

The game is amazing. Many people are very (understandably) upset because they aren't able to play it right now, but the game itself is incredible. It's sad that there are negative reviews for the game, when the issue isn't with the developer, or the gameplay, or any of the mechanics, but with the SERVERS. The devs are doubling down due to how explosively popular this game is (the servers are literally suffering from success) and I am excited to see what they give us.

Game review: 9/10
Server Review: 3/10 (they worked great until 250,000+ people tried to go to war together)

Great shooter, definitely stands out against the other big AAA FPS. Guns and movement are solid, runs great on low-end systems, I'd say we have all the right ingredients for a great massive multiplayer FPS. The best parts of COD and BF, no strings attached.

I have played this game since launch, before expeditions, and ray tracing, and even functioning multiplayer (shoutout to the devs for pouring so much love into this game post-launch) The tutorial is the hardest part to get past as a new player, but when you're finally past the basics and get a feel for the UI and various gameplay loops, this is an incredibly relaxing, beautiful space sim.

We all know the essential pixelated survival crafting games - Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound, Stardew Valley, the list goes on but almost every gamer knows these titles. I believe that Necesse will end up on this list with the greats.

I remember playing Terraria before the endgame content was added, when the Wall of Flesh was the final boss, and Necesse in its current form (Jun. 8 2022) is comparable to that in terms of content and playability. This game might even have more bosses now in early access then Terraria did at that point. As others have said, don't hesitate on this title simply because it's early access. There is enough content here to suck you in for tens of hours, and the sole developer Fair is clearly very passionate about this project. The fact that there is more to come (it's early access ffs) makes me super excited to come back to this game in coming months, and likely years, the same way I do Terraria and the like.

My biggest notable con, and I hesitate to call it that because this is a one-man dev team; there isn't a huge amount of variety to the different types of underground structures you can find in any given biome, and the actual "dungeons" all have the same artwork and enemies. You do come across new enemies in the deep cave areas for each biome, unlocked later in the game, but even so... Once you've seen it, you've seen it. I'd love to see some rare variations of enemies, loot rooms, dungeons, etc. I'm sure there will be more variation to many aspects of the game as the development continues though. I'm probably just spoiled by the other games from bigger studios that have been updated with a decade worth of content.

Despite the lack of variation from a visual standpoint (which might not even be true anymore by the time you're reading this review), the progression and gameplay feel rewarding, and it's well paced in general. Plus, the last few updates have been focused on QoL and refining general gameplay mechanics, which are WAY more impactful than visual variation (the settlement system is amazing). The game gets better and better with each update.

TLDR;
Game good. Better than most early access games, BUT it is early access still, so expect more content and updates.

This game has a bit of a learning curve, but if you enjoy gloriously dismembering your enemies just like they did in the good ol' days, it's worth it.

Dying light is an open world zombie survival game set in the city of Harran, the source of a deadly outbreak. This game is often credited as being a clone of other recent titles, such as Dead Island, and is also often thought to have copied mechanics from other games, such as Mirror's Edge, Evolve, and basically every free roam looting game in existace. In reality, Dying Light is a unique masterpiece that could easily shape out to be one of the best releases of 2015. It features aa parkour system, similar to that in Mirror's Edge, which is used to navigate seamlesly throughout the game's vast map. It also gives a very vertical feel to the game. The combat is also very satisfying, due to the vast amount of weapons at your fingertips that can be used to smash, slice, and stab your way through the hoardes of infected that you are sure to encounter. All this and more are accessable in both Singleplayer modes, and 4 player co-op modes. The game also features a 4v1 gamemode, which is a masterpiece in itself.. when you can find a match to join, that is.

Singleplayer, familiar, yet unique.
The game's main story has you following an agent known as Crane who is working to cure the virus, but ends up stranded in the city. He then proceeds to help out the remaining survivors, fetching loot, running supplies, and working to bring down the local crime lord. There are also a wide variety of side quests, very similar to games in The Elder Scrolls series as well as those in the Dead Island series. They often start off as simple "go get this" or "tell this guy something" kind of missions.. we alll know them. However, they often evolve into their own side story, with interesting, sometimes comical dialogue and events. The great (but predictable) main story, along with tons of side quests and zombies to bludgeon should satisfy your thirst to beat the heads of countless undead mutants in for a long time.

Multiplayer, a masterpiece in itself.
In most games, the multiplayer is where the real treasure is. Dying light is no exception. In this game, you and up to 3 other friends can hop along Harran's rooftops and complete missions together. The game also features various challanges and competitions that the team can partake in, such as "kill the most zombies", "loot the most value worth of items" and even races. Hopping along the rooftops and slaughtering hundreads of undeaed beasts in this game is more satisfying than it ever was in CoD, L4D, and other zombie titles. The 4v1 mode is downright amazing. You and your team are put up against a player controlled super-zombie-beast-demon (too amazing to explain). The beast has to get 10 kills before the survivors destroy 5 nests scattered across the whole map. Yes, the whole map. This mode has you and your friends back to back, fending off a beast that is faster than you, stronger than you, and that's out for blood. It's one of a kind, and it's just something you have to expierece for yourself

The verdict.
Just get the game. It's worth every penny, especially if you have friends to play it with.
10/10 would bang.
Er.. play again. Yeah.

Despite all the negative reviews, this game is in fact in early alpha. It has quite some potential, as long as you are patient and willing to experiment. Unfortunately, most people fail to see that, so we end up with this:

THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTE JUNK
I'm here to stop that.

How to make the most out of The Dead Linger

Today, I'm going to explain just how to make the most out of your TDL experience for any of you that decide to buy this game.

Step 1
Don't buy the game. The world's top psychics have credited this game to be one of the most prime examples of "..a piece of software that is eternally stuck in development hell" and refuse to work with it due to all of the negative energy it radiates, presumably a result of being birthed from the devil's own anal cavity.

Seriously though, if we're gonna bash this awful game, let's do it in style?
