Early Access Review
For a game that was just released as early access today I'd say it's okay.

I streamed it for about an hour and a half, which is how long it took to reach the current end of the game. That said there definitely isn't that much content in the game. I found a few of the smaller touches really nice and funny. The devs definitely have a sense of humor that people can appreciate but there definitely needs to be more of that humor present in the game. A lot of it feels a bit empty at the moment and you don't feel like much progresses. You do end on a bit of a cliff hanger but it takes far too long to reach that point. You're also not given enough interaction with the NPCs to get "attached" to them in any sense aside from Deshawn.

Things to address/work on:

-Deshawn glitches into objects and doesn't move around freely unless it's during an interaction.

-Tyrone is visible standing still from the exterior of the house, I found this funny but if there are plans to develop the game further it's something that should be addressed, or maybe even given more attention.

-The amount of money you make versus what you need to spend isn't exactly well balanced. Some friends and I were talking about it and the consensus is that the appeal of this game wears off quickly conceptually so it's important for the gratification to be a little more evenly distributed. There are some nice touches in the work place but they don't make the amount of time spent there feel more meaningful.

-Customization options in games are generally for immersion but I think they could add a nice touch for players, allowing them to insert their own sense of humor a little bit.

-The camera needs a bit of work, it doesn't make the game unplayable by any means but it doesn't feel very good.

-The funky pop on the exterior of the second floor, to my knowledge is unreachable at present. Interacting with housing objects is a bit tedious.

The positives that lead to me leaving a positive review as opposed to a negative and why I think you should check the game out for yourself.

-It's very clearly a meme, the devs are pretty self aware and you can tell they care about what they've created and appreciate people who spend the money on the game.

-It's $2 USD. If you spend even 15 minutes having a laugh at what's in the game you've kind of come out in the positive.

-It's a good gag gift to buy for your friends on steam.

Overall this game was fun to play. I had a friend purchase it for me as a joke but we got into it as we played through together. I'd like to see games like this more frequently and eventually if there's demand for them, higher quality.

Hope the devs stick with it. They've got a great base for a potentially very meme worthy game.

Really brings me back to playing some of the older versions of this game on the school computers. Many points for nostalgia and even more for the cute monkeys :3

The gameplay is very unique and each level has so much replay value. '

The only person I wouldn't recommend this game to is someone who is a perfectionist because I think this game shines when you try and live with the flaws you make each run.

Worth every penny if you're trying to send a meme to a friend. Fun to play mindlessly for a few minutes here and there.

Really easy to use and doesn't take much time to set up. Also has a lot of amazing options for wallpapers.

The game is beautiful, the soundtrack is great, and the story is captivating. I can definitely see myself playing the game again at some point.

The only downside is the price seems a little high given the amount of time you can realistically spend in game before completing it. I felt like I was taking my time for most of it and still ended up completing my first play-through in under 4 hours. Usually when I spend this much on a game I expect it to take more than one sitting.

I originally bought this game for my ex to play. She ended up loving it but I didn't have any interest after putting in a few hours.

After the co-op was released some friends and I picked the game up again and have been having a blast. We all agreed we didn't really enjoy the single player version of this game too much, which is not to say it is inadequate. Only that it doesn't fit our tastes personally. If you were considering this game before the multiplayer was added I would highly recommend it now.

The only other game I've sunk this much time into in one sitting is WoW.

I love The Jackbox Party Pack games.

This one however falls really short. Dictionarium is okay but the rest of the games feel incomplete or forced. I would highly recommend their other games but I'd avoid this one unless you've got 25 bucks to throw at it. Just glad I was able to return my copy.
