This gorgeous metroidvania has three qualities that make it great: innovation, mystery, and artistic excellence. Your character starts with just two moves: move forward and jump. The character never gains any abilities beyond this, but rather a set of unique tools that help them traverse the world. Every inch of the world is well-thought out, and there is always more to explore. The game's pixel art style lends well to the story, but for fear of spoilers, I can't say much more. This is a game that should be experienced with as little knowledge as possible. Anyone who likes metroidvanias will love this game.

Great city sim. I have played to the end of three easy-to-follow campaigns, and it was relaxing and enjoyable. The art style is adorable. I have loved each update.

This is my first city sim, so I started on tutorial mode. Game gave very clear instructions and still kept me on my toes once I was released into the wilds. Balancing the meter of the people in the village and the meter of Onbu is a wonderful duo and presents many choices where one choice helps one and hurts the other. My only gripe with the game is the lack of biomes; I am a couple hundred in-game days in, and I have really only encountered five biomes. Lots of good variety in the city buildings!

Wonderful, low-stress cozy game. Great relief for work burnout.

This mining horde shooter game is a masterpiece in both multiplayer and difficulty scaling. There are a lot of game modes, all with unique and fun offerings. My personal favorite are mining and point extraction. The game is fun in solo (your little robot friend does a good job of feeling like a controllable teammate) but multiplayer is where this game shines. There are five levels of difficultly, with the relaxing hazard one being perfect for learning for players new to the genre, all the way to horrifying hazard five, a mode so difficult you have to earn the right to play it. There are four unique characters with six unlock-able weapons each, allowing you to create exactly the type of play-style you want.

Just two hours in, I am already loving what this 3D platformer has to offer. The art style is gorgeous and the story's mystery unravels at just the right pace. However, this game really needs to be played with a controller and NOT a mouse and keyboard. The game warns you of this right away, but I believe it needs restating.

I have put about six very relaxing hours into this game as I write this review-- it's a wonderful crafting game, with clear indicators when a terra-forming goal is met, but no real push towards one goal or another. The map has a few interesting areas so far, but it does take a couple hours to be self-sufficient enough to reach them. It's highly enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone who likes crafting.

Hollow Knight is a triumph in “show, don’t tell.” The main plot takes less than 30 hours to go through, but there is hundreds of hours worth of challenges here including speedruns, boss rushes, and more. I am surprised at how much this game about the bug apocalypse moved me, and it will surely astound you as well.

This was my first adventure into the rogue-like genre, and Hades does not disappoint! There is a fair difficulty curve to this game and an excellently written story. Being sent back to the beginning at every defeat doesn't feel like a punishment, but rather an opportunity to learn more and hone the skills of the game even more carefully. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who love Greek mythology, rich stories, and interesting combat. Easily deserves Game of the Year in the Steam Reviews!

This is a very fun factory building/exploration game. Even in early access, much is realized about the world and the aliens that inhabit the world. At the moment, multiplayer runs a bit slowly (I often can't see what my teammates are up to at all unless we are away from our factory), and high speed internet is a must to play multiplayer. However, as the game updates, I am sure it will run smoother. I would recommend if you like building or exploration, but especially both!
