I guess quite a lot of confusion is coming from calling this game a "Strategy" or a "Colony sim". It's a puzzle. Nice looking, complex and rewarding puzzle.
Basically, you get a set of tiles you need to lay out on adjustable field to meet requirements the game puts in front of you. There's a lot of ways you can combine these tiles to get a ton of different synergies, and because both available tiles and tasks you get are randomised on each run, it doesn't get really repetitive for several dozens of runs, which is a very nice thing for a puzzle.
Also, the game has no time pressure and no real "loss conditions", so you just get better and better and look upon the satisfying little planets you have built.
The only possible criticism I have is that a game is not very good at explaining itself, so after the short tutorial I had to figure out how it works by myself anyway. Although, it was a fun process as well.

Existence of this game makes me question the existence of Stray even more.
LKBC is a wonderful game about a cat. It's a lighthearted exploration/achievement hunting game with pleasant visuals, rewarding gameplay loop and, surprisingly, really nice writing.
I've completed the game in 5 hours and even after I had a thought "Ugh, I'm not gonna do that" after I saw that "Recycle 100 cans" achievement... I still did all of that and never actually got bored even for a second.
Controls and physics could be a bit junky at times, but that's what I can happily forgive. Now this would be one of these gems that I played in one seat and that would stay in my heart for years. Thank you, Double Dagger! :)

Okay, hear me out. The game is not the most (cough-cough) polished product ever. It may be overpriced for its ~4 hours runtime. But damn it is fun.

All nods to RE1 are in place, some are subtle, some are incredibly over-the-top. Cross-over with House of The Dead worked for me, although I still have no idea how to use the shield. Exploration is smooth enough, only one puzzle saw me resorting to guessing and general flow was really nice.

But you should be ready for trash (in all the best meanings) when you head in. The game knows it's trash and embraces it. I can only commend this dedication.

Well... Concept is fun. Visuals are nice. Doesn't really worth £12. I would buy it for maybe £3 and do a 100% that will take me an hour or so.

We've completed everything the game has to offer but some of the optional "stamps" (challenges for setting up a specific scene) in around 70 minutes. All that was left after that is to waste time to look through each page trying to find a suitable scene for new stamps, which is not fun and not really convenient. I was rather hyped about this game and now I'm just... Dissapointed

This game is more entertaining than it has any business being.

I picked it up when I was looking for some random game to fill the void between several bigger games, just for a couple of hours. 37 hours later, I'm still not satisfied!

On the first glance, it's just another Vampire Survivors clone. That's not a bad thing in itself, but nothing to write home about. Although, 5 minutes in you understand that it has a pinch of Binding of Isaac and something like Risk of Rain mixed in. Still nothing extremely original, but it somehow works. Boom - it's several hours later, you experiment with different builds and explore neat changes that every new character brings. And while sometimes you notice that your runs may become a bit similar - most of the time there's still more options to try.

You build your character with a combination of weapons and passive items. They have both obvious and tricky synergies between them. Shop mechanics and in-game economy allow you to have an actual BUILD, even when you are playing a limited 20-wave mode. And while your wilder ideas may never take off (I haven't managed to build a 12-stick multitasker yet), you always have a choice, you always have something to expand on and risk bulking up more power in expense of your defence and healing. Or vice versa, if you're THAT kind of player.

Right now I'm finishing up my runs with all the characters that are left (honestly, not the most entertaining ones) and planning to challenge myself for some crazy Endless runs. And planning to play a game AFTER beating it to 100% achievements is not a thing I often do ;)

This is a nice "Bloodborne at home".

Developers haven't simply checked all boxes for a "modern Soulslike game" (although, quite a lot of game design decisions look like they were made just because "you gotta"), they truly brought some new ideas, some of them quite bold, like the weapon assembly system or attacks that completely ignore i-frames.

But of course, if you have played Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring you would notice a myriad of direct borrowings from there, some of them almost outrageously straightforward, like "talk to coughing people behind closed windows", "very nimble swordswoman that undresses in the second phase, calls herself a sharp-edged weapon of some other person and has some infuriating combo-attacks", "character named Manus that has an enormous hand" and so on and so on. It is not bad per se, it's just... Confusing?

But all of these strange things aside, that's a solid and VERY polished game that is fun to play, intriguing to listen to and is generally well done.

Nice job, guys, looking forward to that teased sequel :)

I did my best to like this game, but eventually I have failed.
I may be not the biggest fan of hard sci-fi, but it always makes me curious. I would say, the game would've given me the satisfaction, if only I didn't knew what the original book is all about. Without the intrigue characters feel rather slow in understanding what is happening there ("slow" is a word I would use extensively while talking about this game, by the way).
Story aside (I guess the downfall there is my own fault, how dare I know the synopsis of books I have never read?), what could you expect of low-budget passion "walking simulator" projects? Coherent direction, polish and attention to details, I would say. And while Th Invincible is trying, it generally lacks all three of these.
Dialogues are often interrupted by further triggers you may even not expect. Sometimes you look around without a slightest idea what are you expected to do next and you should just stumble around until you find the next trigger. And sometimes you can see crossroads that hint on different paths to the goal, and most of the time the whole difference is that one of them is like three times longer than the other, without any further details and dialogues. That was really confusing.
Bugs felt numerous. Instruments were becoming inaccessible from time to time, triggers fail to trigger, action points were not becoming active until i approached them three times from different angles... And twice during my walkthrough Yasna forgot to open her eyes after blinking, which was hilarious to be honest. And yeah, there are no manual saves and checkpoints are often 10-15 minutes of dialogues and walking apart. Not fun.
And for the last part, attention to detail, all these things are not really game-breaking, they were just little dissapointments I have encountered while looking for better things. Like, metal detector is required twice throughout the game and is basically useless otherwise - but the output it gives is very inconsistent when you try to use it somewhere else, with half of clearly metal things being treated as "background". Tracker dots ignore a lot of people and sometimes their "pings" are way off. Some minor optional discussions ignore details that were already discovered. And well, Yasna's lines and their tone are generally all over the place.
I was really hyped when I saw trailers. I was prepared to encounter everything the genre of "low budget walking simulator" should entail. The Invincible still haven't delivered. I'm not really dissapointed, I'm just... Sad.

This game is terrible. Simply terrible. It borders this "So bad it's good" area, but not quite there. So it's just bad.

Yes, it takes inspiration in early RE games (I have no idea why some people also mention SH in this comparison) - and it perfectly adapts all the worst things that existed in these 25+ years old games. Honestly, even the first RE had more QoL features than this one.

Story is moronic. Main character is a complete idiot and developers take us for the same level of idiocy. This game is an insult to player's intelligence.

Voice actors do not care about their lines. They have absolutely no idea either what this game is about or how to, well, act.

Polishing that you might expect from such "passion projects" is not there, obviously. There are bugs, errors, just trash trash trash I got too irritated to even try and complete this sentence.

The only reason I have finished this game is that I've been struggling through this along side my friends. It was a terrifying (in a bad way), but quite ridiculous experience.

Do not play this. Please. Don't do this to yourself.

Thank you for attention

This could've been another obscure "5 hours" joke, but I really want more people to try this game out.

At first, it seems like an ordinary clicker-idler. You unlock your first prestige layer. Then you unlock additional mini-prestige layer - strange, but ok. And then another one. And then challenges. And upgrades. And achievements. And another prestige layer. And another set of upgrades and challenges. And then... There's a lot of stuff happening there, much more that in any other idler I have ever played.

And all this stuff is actually interesting and it stays fresh for literal MONTHS! I played this game back in 2018 on my phone, I've been waiting for the Reality update for 5 hou~ (damit) 4 years - and I'm very happy it's finally here.

And the community of this game is simply wonderful - that's something you can rarely tell in a video game context, honestly :)
