Game could be fun, but it's so imbalanced that most wins are determined by RNG and not strategy. You can easily win by just clicking random ♥♥♥♥.

CS:GO Review
Let me be clear that CS:GO itself is a very fun game. It's intense, it's comfortable to control, and it's got a high skill ceiling. It's a worthy successor to 1.6 and Source, and if you plan on playing with friends and on unofficial servers, it's a worthy buy, even if the community experience isn't on Source's level. But the community of the built-in Competitive mode is easily among one of the worst, bordering on MOBA quality.

This isn't some wuss complaint that people are being mean to me or are beating me badly. I can live with trolling, puerility or genuine hostility. I can live with getting spanked because I'm not as good as the other team. I can live with losing a match solely because my teammates are bad, because at least I know I played well and can bounce back. I can even live with the script kiddies that aren't on VACation yet. But I cannot stand the endless flow of immature ♥♥♥♥♥ that buy the game again on a new Steam account and intentionally play like ♥♥♥♥ just so they can wipe the floor with players that are worse than they are.

I started off playing GN2 and managed to climb to GNM and keep the rank because I was actually playing with other nubs, but after the ranking changes I was moved to high Silver and the difference is night and day--way too many of the players I faced were *better* than the GNs before, and on at least one occasion I ran into some sack of genetic detritus running a "boosting service" for idiots willing to pay him to smurf on their team.

What the hell is the point of even having ranked matches if people aren't being paired up with other players of the same skill level? I don't even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ care that I'm Silver, since it's post-derank, but can I not at least expect to play with other Silvers? I bust my ass off because I want to git gud properly and I just can't compete with people that literally have ten times as much practice as I do, at a minimum. Not everyone has the time to practice aiming until their right hand is an aim bot.

I know Valve doesn't want to turn down money from an idiot buying the same game over and over again, but they won't be making more money in the long run if the game devolves into an elitist circlejerk and people stop buying and selling items for it on the market. It boils down to respect for the people who appreciate your product for what it could be.

Early Access Review
With only your wits, some twigs and a rock, you have to claw your way through your opponents until you reach second place and get shot in the leg by some lucky ♥♥♥♥ that managed to find a gun.

The story, gameplay and music were all fantastic, but I kinda could've done without being reminded of what a jaded, unfulfilled and emotionally isolated adult I've become by my own volition in a pointless existence that will never live up to my imagination, no matter how much I indulge in it with fiction.

Or the oedipal complex. That one is harder to explain.

Oh... so close. I really do want to recommend this game for those willing to drop the scratch, but as it is, I just can't. The multiplayer connectivity is practically nonexistent, because some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius at Activision decided that dedicated servers of any kind are apparently out of style.

It's especially sad since you can tell Sledgehammer wanted to make a good first impression as a Call of Duty developer, and for the most part the pulled it off very well. My guess is that, as usual, the weakest link in the chain is their parent company and their comically stupid decisions.

Add dedicated servers, and I'll change my negative review. Add community servers, and I might just buy more DLC. But until then, stay far, far away.
