At it's core, Halo: Infinite is great. It's not perfect, of course. The microtransactions, the severe content drought, and Halo Studios' inability to just see this game through to COMPLETE perfection is holding it back, but the game itself is great. The guns all feel great to shoot with a wide pool of items to choose from, and a wide array of maps to do it on. The gameplay itself is damn near perfect for a modern Halo, but outside of that, it's lacking. The cosmetic customization has gotten better and there's PLENTY of variety, so no two Spartans will look the same (usually), but it's so damn expensive to the point where you could drop $100 on CR and probably still not have all of the battle passes, which are a FRACTION of the cosmetics in the game. If they put more of the cosmetics into each battle pass, they could be actual proper drops instead of 20 tiers and even have gameplay content that makes each update feel that much more impactful. But, as it stands, the game is fun to pickup and play every once in a while.
