Definitely would recommend.
This is a brilliant and hilarious sandbox game with some of the best ideas for illnesses etc. that I have ever seen.

The variety of options available with regard to servers and gamemodes is incredible.
There is a server for nearly every gamemode you could imagine, and some you can't.

Having only reached Clearance Level 7, I can safely say that this game is brilliant!
One of the videos that I saw compared this to a merge between Papers Please (A game by Lucas Pope) and the National Security Agency, and that description is quite apt.
You work for the Department of Liberty, working your way through five alert levels including Emerald, Azure and Violet, similar to the Defense Condition (DEFCON) levels of the United States of America.
You have varying asignments ranging from Threat Analysis to Murder Investigations.
With the amount of adverse content in this game, it is a must-buy for anyone who enjoyed Papers Please!

This game is a sandbox or open-ended building game. You play as a warden with a plot of land. Your job is to build up the land from nothing to a massive, fully functioning prison. However, it is not easy. This game is fun because of the fact that there are several options that you can select when you create a new prison. Some of these are listed below:
  • Gangs - Some prisoners will arrive with allegiances to either the RED, GREEN or BLUE gang. Your job is then to separate them and stop them from taking over areas of the prison. A gang will only recruit when the leader is in your prison and if the gang has over 10 members.
  • Random events - These will only affect prisons with 50 prisoners or over. These can be things like "A fire has started in the kitchen" to things like "10 witnesses are in this prison. Their trial is in x hours. Keep them alive until then". This adds an element of unpredictability which is quite fun for this sort of game.
There are more but I do not want to drop spoilers.

Steam also has modding support for this game. With mods ranging from more quick builds to more crimes on the prisoners' rapsheets to mods that change the whole appearance of the game, this is definitely the game to buy.

In addition to all of that, Prison Architect also offers Escape Mode. With steam, you can download prisons from the steam workshop for the game and then you can attempt to escape from them. Be careful that freefire is not enabled though!

To conclude, Prison Architect is definitely one of the best prison building simulators out there and definitely worth your money.

This game is quite a difficult game to understand, but once you get into it, it REALLY gets exciting.

With different software types, server types and the possibility of being fined or even disavowed (where your account is terminated) it all makes for one interesting game.

I reccomend this because of the fact that it is extremely fun to play.
