Let me just I don't know how it works on ps4 or other accessible devices but this game on pc is horrible. The first part of the game worked completely fine for me, going through the sections I must say are pretty bland. Sure the atmosphere is dark and sorta scary but never actually something frightening. Why was the atmosphere scary to me on the first run? Because I'm a die hard fnaf fan that has been a fan since fnaf 1 but this? This felt like a knock off or a spin series. Something that this ISN'T a proper fnaf game. I have yet to finish it and that's because the actual textures on floors and npc flicker in and out of existence.

I understand if I have a bad pc maybe but I watched a few minutes of markiplier playing it (the youtuber) his pc was actually stuttering and losing frames HORRIBLY.

I know I may think my PC is bad but optimization is a thing and the fact I know someone plays game for a JOB is having trouble before working anything with this game just speaks volumes of this buggy mess of a game. I've clipped through several parts of the game. Ai is just atrocious and big areas are just horrible to view for your pc.

This game is primarily online and the developers have said before that they have no intention of making a single player game mode for it so i just wanted that to get out of the way first and foremost and honestly? i don't see the need for a offline single player mode as this game is mostly made for the community and the horror that everyone got thrilled with let me roll back a bit and explaine. This game was made from the ideas and stories by the S.C.P stories that contain monster/lovecraftian horror if you don't know what lovecraftian monsters are like well you'll find out, these monsters are meant to strike fear and horror to you with their enriching stories behind them in the facade of a goverment organization called S.C.P containing them and making notes on how to contain them and keep them away from society and that's where this game plays in:

This game is meant to put the iconic monsters that were made first and bring them to life with the surrounding area being of a facility that was meant to keep them contained now not as contained, basically the gist is that somehow the facility has been breached and that's where you come in, you will spawn in either as a scp (a monster) a facility guard or mtf (basically the people meant to recontain the monsters or a scientist or d-boi or choas insurgency. There's a variety of guides on what to do as the certain role you're playing but the main idea for scientist and d-bois are trying to escape, mtf and facility guards are meant to recontain the scps and save the scientists and get them to escape and chaos insurgency are meant to kill the scientists and help the d-bois escape and the scps are meant to kill everyone (choas insurgency are optional as they don't count as the amount of people you kill sometimes, basically depends on the server) now that's just the basic things set in place in the game but i'd like to go over what i like and dislike. For likes i can say i definitely like the atmosphere the game puts with the darkness of lights and makes a general creepy tone with the map you lay out it's even more creepy with the lower you get in the facility, the roles are pretty simple and are laid out infront of you and can even popped up again, i feel like there's a way to win most of the time like there's a fair chance if i play my cards right and i also feel the weight of horror when seeing a scp in my general direction or even knowing they're nearby! i can't express the real horror and preservation of your life when you know an scp is around and generally can make me feel so worried that's not even mentioning the community.

I'm making this an entire section of it's own because the community alone is amazing to be with, the game alone is good but the community enriches the environment with the horror AND the humor which is just outstanding on it's own! i mean to ruin a mood is easy but the community embraces the horror and humor and never feels like they muddy it up and creates a opposing idea to the game and the amount of freedom the game gives the players to really interact is crazy with the jokes in the update forums themselves like the developers embrace the humor which i could not express enriches the experience! it's just insane! ANNNNND i have to praise the amount of variety and updates the developers are really putting effort into and they are quite frequent and are listening to the community and feedback which is just another plus!

Dislikes: of course this game is not perfect, the only way to really communicate is through a mic so no chat or emotes or anything to really communicate without a mic and sometimes that can really harm the experience when being apart of the community and the models feel honestly a little outdated and could use some work, look the models aren't horrible but after multiple updates i think they could use some work like with the scps, scp-096 (shy guy) has recently gotten a updated model which seems like might update them but i think it's been long enough for the models to not be updated.

Overall i think it's a great game having a big community to support it and make it better i just think it's about time consumption and how long before something gets fixed or updated which is very long but that might just be me because i play tf2 but still i think the developers are doing great for now and this game shows real promise for it to grow into a real fleshed out game but honestly for me it feels and looks like it's in beta but those are my final thoughts.

This game perfectly made a well set atmosphere for the first part. It had a huge area to explore and fight zombies making any turn you faced into what could surprise the heck outta you, (trying to make this spoiler-free) exploring the place made you feel unneasy (IN A 3D ATMOSPHERE WITH A SECOND-PERSON VIEW NO LESS) it made me jump from my seat and with the dlc original music it made it all the more terrifying making me startled and even at certain moments make me yelp, the combat is simple and is good if you wanna stall zombies (Gun in this game weren't meant to kill all zombies) and if you are clustered even if they are easier to kill with other tactics seeing them in swarms WILL make you feel unnsafe and it doesn't help that ammo isn't common place so use tactics that could help you reserve ammo and do not. I REPEAT. DO NOT KILL EVERY ZOMBIE YOU FIND, it will just waste your ammo for REAL dangers in the future but that also leads to another thing, Guiding the player; this game does a okay job explaining its mechanics even if they're easy to understand and for less experienced players don't worry! If you so happen to reach a boss with very little ammo they will decrease the difficulty for you but its still VERY advised that you keep some ammo on hand for more zombies and that shall conclude this review. Look if you like horror fps games this is the game for you as the first part of this game be very simple it gets much more difficult, i HIGHLY recommend this to friends and horror fans alike! I loved the horror, the shooting combat system but i did howver disliked how the end of the story, it felt fine but knowing and seeing how the *cough* was made and how it all went down how a unrealistic approach and kinda sucked the horror the more you knew what caused everything but it was a great game and i love how they had some dlc things that were for the fans and i love the extra content such as modes and getting the achievements. I hope you enjoy this game as much as i did!

So here we are, i am going to be a reviewing a game i've been playing for most of my life with the time and money i've spent into this game i'll try to cover main points with this game and not so biased but just before anyone starts to point out how i am being biased just know that this game really has and will be apart of my life (and savings *cough*) so without any delay here we go:

Let's start first with some positives i like

This game has a amazing community that has done and said more than Valve has and let's be blunt, the majority of this game has been supported and will always be supported by the community with people finding bugs and reporting it to community events and rewards for participating in the a group effort and has done some AMAZING things. Suicide prevention or fighting cancer for children just to name a very small few, this community has banded together and make a difference in the community whether big or small they all had the same goal of creating a better and bigger world for all of us to love and share and that's not even MENTIONING the amazing game modes AND fixing some too like the long VERY needed update of man vs machines or community servers having a different taste of games like party mode or Saxton hale, if you ever felt like you were tired of tf2 take a break and play some other modes i can guarantee that the community has something you'd like whether it be a change of scenery or play mode it always has something for everyone. It would be redundant without mentioning the impact that Valve's game had to even start all of this! Team fortress 2 has comics, update logs, videos to really sink you in this community hell i was entranced by those beautiful perfectly done meet the team videos, they made you feel like you were really meeting their personalities and gave you a wide spread of interesting voices, character art, playstyles and more! Once you really see them in action in their best light you can easily get so hooked into what they say and do and want more! Valve was a great company to add character into their games and it really showed here. I could go on and on about how this game made so much of an impact on people and made them stay for the characters and lore but to shorten it (which doesn't do it justice) meeting the team and talking to the community makes you feel so welcomed and honestly it has been the best thing in my life, i and so many people have found real, and good to honest people here and i don't doubt you'll find a friend here too.
  • Gameplay

It's honestly just as interesting as the characters, see the thing about tf2 which i hate more than anything is that there's no real introduction to mechanics or strategies to common and high leveled plays, high leveled players and casual players all have had a say of how awful it is to introducing new players so i won't speak about it in depth all you need to know is it doesn't give a good start and you'd wanna look at guides to see some stuff you should learn about first but when you know most tricks oh gosh does it do a great job of giving you so much to accomplish, this game has a really high skill ceiling meaning there's so much to learn and practice and do that you'll never really feel like you've completed or finished what you can in this game: there's always something to learn. High leveled players that have played this game since beta still get a laugh or shock at what happens in this game, so many dumb and smart moves can be made and you'll have a blast getting to see all of them firsthand, i can not tell you how much i've laughed and been shocked by this game and even just feel so dumbfounded on what just happened sometimes it feels so unreal.

  • Sound

Since this game has so many characters and believe me it GUSHES of personality, it has so many one liners and voices going on, it never feels empty or make you feel alone when your playing (unless you are actually alone and do nothing) this game sometimes makes me laugh or just smile by the one liners the characters/classes say and it feels just so natural and never forced, when in battle you can hear and see the chaos and it feels right in a weird way. The soundtrack and sounds just feel natural and overall fit well

  • Economy

Let's just put this out here, i don't condone mass spending because it can lead to unhealthy obsessions but i will say if you place your cards right and know the right things to say, you can make a profit out of this game and i know this review is meant to be of the game but the economy is lively and can make quite the bit of cash when you do cash out and even if you're not into trading there's a cool feature of being able to dress up your favourite merc/class so you can have so much opportunity creating the best loadout you want and i know that sounds meaningless but give it time playing this game, you'll eventually find the joys and tears of spending real world money in this game.

Negatives:

Yup you saw that right! all those were positives and i wasn't able to really go through everything but i will say those were the main points that came to mind when loving this game so uh i tried
  • Valve connection:

This game is old like REALLY as in the game was out back in 2007 and due to the long life span still being lively to this day it is a starved of new content and updates and valve employess and that still work on this game well they can't really do much let me explain, because of how old this game is less people wanna work on this game and the way valve works for employess is different to normal companies as in specifically they can choose what games they work on and it's no surprise that alot of people don't wanna work on a game that is 13 years old and still riddled with bugs and bad coding well, you kinda have to feel sorry for the people who still work and update this game but that's the thing! valve rarely gives us communication and ideas and thoughts on what should be made and done in the next update and when the game does update it's not even something interesting or a new gun it's just updating LOCALIZATION FILES! and you know how you'd be "well maybe they're working on something big" well maybe we would be more calmer if we actually got word of what they're thinking and this has been such a problem that it's practically a meme in the community.

  • Gameplay:

Again to mention before this game does a pretty poor job of explaining things aside from the objectives and does barely anything to really explain which class does what so it's hard to know who to choose and really does barely anything to change that and there WAS a training mode that worked but it has not been updated and as of my knowledge the training mode is bugged as in it doesn't go through the classes and teach you everything and doesn't even have all the classes to teach in the first place because they never actually put every class and some mechanics are really questionable to even be put such as random crits, a constant complaint of the community of having a aged old mechanic that was meant for those "high moments" but has been shown and debunked that they honestly have a bad effect in the bigger picture.

This has is what i thought to be the main points and i'm sorry if i haven't covered other big main points but as of now this has been my review and while the negatives and shows a lot of potential concern for the longevity of this game i can say that while it seems to be concerning it also feels really small compared to the big picture and you as a new user should try this game because it could possibly change your life and i know that sounds dramatic but it really changed mine so give it a try!
