If you like fancy graphics and a thrilling, action packed storyline you should definately play this title.

However... if you're not willing to put up with abysmal performance, glitches and bugs or an open world immersion that is lost due to horrible "AI" and questionable game mechanics, i strongly suggest to find another title to spend your hard earned eddies on.


Hardware used to play this title:
Ryzen 7 3800X / 16GiB DDR4-3200 CL14 / GeForce GTX1080

Due to the fact that i won't be playing a game that has the looks of a 2012ish title, but demands future hardware to achieve acceptable framerates, i cannot tell you anything about the actual gameplay. Here's what i know ...

Fact #1: My rig runs The Division 2 perfectly fine at 2160p@60Hz vsynced on a mix of low to medium settings

Fact #2: HLL won't do that. It can't even do 1080p@60Hz with lowest settings properly

Fact #3: using lowest settings, 35% render scale and vsync off, this game won't saturate my GPU or CPU in any way (30-50% GPU, 60-75% CPU). Epic themselves (UE4 Engine) call this phenomenon "CPU stalling" that can occur due to bad coding

I tried tweaking the crap out of it for several days now and finally gave up on it. This game is a steaming pile of unoptimized code and will never be on par with proper AAA titles.

Some technical keywords to go with my accusation: save/load settings broken, LoD broken, CPU/Thread stall

Also, some free advice:
Don't buy games based on any iteration of the Unreal Engine unless it's an AAA title

All while in Beta, you guys were not able to take a single glance at sales numbers. Unprepared af and i seriously consider refunding.

Also f your "A new version is available" message. Just be honest and display a "our one and only server is a potato" message

Hey Daniel, go suck on something while i refund this abomination.

Here's what to do in this game:

- build a ship in a lego-ish way
- get bored and just slap some blocks together
- testdrive your creation and find out that it won't move at all
- slap on some huge guns and start a test battle
- realize the aiming system is utter crap
- download premade ship from workshop
- jup, seen it all now, time to uninstall

bought this for around six bucks, and do not regret the regret

Skybox ist kostenlos, spielt nahezu alle Container/Codes/Quellen, ist einfach zu bedienen und bringt hübsche Umgebungen mit.

Sollte der Entwickler noch Prime/Netflix/Youtube Integration einbauen darf Skybox gerne ein paar Euro kosten.

Innerhalb von knapp 20 Minuten durfte ich ein reichhaltiges Spektrum an Erfahrungen sammeln.

DIe Kontoerstellung:
... scheiterte daran, dass ich zwar Benutzer und Passwort eingeben konnte, das Feld für die EMail Adresse war aber nicht anwählbar und somit keine Eingabe möglich.

Offlinemodus:
Herrliche Funktion, denn dies ermöglicht trotz gescheiterter Kontoerstellung einen Blick auf die eigentlichen Funktionen der Anwendung: Menü-, Soundglitches und Abstürze am laufenden Band.

Aufgerufene Menüs werden nicht mehr ausgeblendet und überlappen sich gegenseitig.
Der Sound hat auch irgendwann die Grätsche gemacht und hörte sich wie eine defekte MP3.

Glücklicherweise bekommt man die bis jetzt genannten Probleme aber gar nicht so oft zu Gesicht, denn die Anwendung friert meist schon vorher ein. Der virtuellen Welt entrissen entdeckt man dann auch schnell die Ursache des Übels und schliesst eine Fehlermeldung auf dem altmodischen Monitor durch beherztes klicken auf "Ok" (insert meme here)


Der Entwickler sollte diese Anwendung doch besser nochmal zurück aufs closed alpha Gleis schieben. srsly.

Aufgrund der absolut grottigen Performance habe ich bisher mehr Zeit mit den Einstellungen als dem eigentlichen Inhalt verbracht.

Gameplay:
Dazu kann ich leider noch nichts berichten - FO4 soll aber bekanntlich gut sein.

Performance:
Wirklich spielbar, ohne reprojection, wird FO4 bei mir erst durch niedrigste Details und Reduzierung der Renderauflösung auf 90%. Die Darstellung wird dadurch aber sehr matschig und selbst dann tritt in Städten störendes Ruckeln auf.

Skyrim VR läuft trotz einiger Grafikmods selbst bei 150% noch butterweich.


Meine Empfehlung:
Investiert Euer Geld anderweitig.

Für mich die VR Anwendung schlechthin!

Hab eine Vive Pro erworben um mit einem Kumpel ab und an zu daddeln. Gute VR Spiele sind aber leider (noch?!) spärlich gesät, weshalb ich mir zunächst einmal die Zeit mit Google Earth VR vertrieben habe. Mittlerweile verbringe ich aber mehr Zeit mit GEVR als irgendwelche Spiele zu daddeln.
