Update: While playing this game, I lost track of time twice. The second time, I started a fire by forgetting a pan on the cooker. Thankfully, not only I eventually smelled the smoke and extinquished the fire, but also my hospital run butterly smooth while I was battling with the small flames. Great game for sure.

Today is the day! A game claiming to be a spiritual successor to my teen-years favourite Theme Hospital is finally out. I jumped out of bed, rushed to my espresso machine, and loaded the game. Two hours later, I realise that I forgot in my rush to have breakfast and I need to refresh my coffee... even worse than that, I am running late for work!
It has been a while since the last time I logged 2 hours straight into a game, without thinking of time passing by, my real-life work, or getting more coffee and food. Yes, it is that good.

It plays exactly like a modern-day version of Theme Hospital should. The cartoonish graphics got an upgrade, while paying tribute to the original game, the illnesses are new but look and sound familiar, even the UI pays tribute to TH. This doesn't mean that the game didn't receive quite a few upgrades: there are much more items to decorate your corridors with, a more fluint UI, and a better tutorial for newcomers to the genre. The radio kept me laughing throughout my gameplay.

If you like Theme Hospital get it ASAP! If you have no clue what the scooby is Theme Hospital, get this and then go and buy TH. ;-)
