Best hardcore sidescrolling platformer on the market right now. Stunning visuals inspired by Christian iconography from Spain, infused with intriguing lore that is never overly explicit so as to not lose its mystery. Soulslike boss fights that take a lot of grinding and near-perfect play for certain achievements. When you progress in Blasphemous you feel it in your every bone that it was your own skill and not luck. Great replay value with a NG+ mode that offers 3 additional challenges, each changing up the gameplay in its own unique way. There is audio available in several languages though I encourage you to play with Spanish audio and subtitles of your choice if you understand even a little bit of Spanish, it is well worth it. A sequel for this game is coming in 2023, so pick this classic up now to get up to speed!

It's a pretty looking chess game and plays well enough. Positives: not just a bare chess simulation, it comes with some additional content in the form of 36 tutorials explaining the basic rules of the game and 80 "challenges" (tactical puzzles). There are options to play against a computer, friends, or even random online opponents.

Some negative points I feel should be considered before a purchase:
- the game contains in-game purchases. These provide the player with additional environments and chess sets. They are purely optional, though in my opinion the default selection is a bit sparse and for a base game price of 12.99€ especially I felt the cosmetic DLC a bit overpriced.
- the options are lacking. I would have wished for an option to increase animation speed, for instance, as well as more detailed graphical options (especially for a game that prides itself as much on its visuals as this one does). And of course there should be many more options for time controls, different game modes (e.g. Chess960) etc. -- this is not hard to do and something countless free chess websites do a lot better, which makes their exclusion from this game questionable.
- a big negative for me personally as a completionist ; I am aware that I am a bit late to the party playing this game 3 years after its release, but the player base is practically nonexistent which makes it virtually impossible to unlock some of the online-only achievements. You'll find a random opponent just fine, but the tournament section seems absolutely dead and tournaments against AI opponents are not supported, meaning that you are locked out of some achievements due to a lack of players.

Overall, I do not recommend this game given the price in combination with a disappointing lack of configuration options. A purchase may be justified if you are just looking for a way to play chess with a friend on Steam (and Remote Play is supported), but in general many different chess websites do everything this game does better and more smoothly, except for the graphics, but I am unsure how integral they are to a chess simulation long-term.

CS:GO Review
great game
as of 2019, Valve is finally showing this game the love and dedication it deserves (not as much in 2020 though). There hasn't been a better time to get into CSGO than right now in a long time, folks! Let's roll!

While I am not particularly fond of the gameplay mechanics (they're not too bad) I really like the story and general atmosphere set by this game. It teaches the player just how fast things can get out of your control, and leaves you with an unsettling feeling that there is never a clear-cut black / white contrast between good and evil. Very atmospheric game with a touching story that make the rather a little bit lacking shooter gameplay worth putting up with.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is, without doubt, one of the best games I've ever played. Here's why:
Probably the most appealing feature not only of Skyrim, but also its predecessors is the endless freedom. You can do what you like when you like and for how long you like. The main quest can be done without touching the endless amount of side quests, and you can play for 100+ hours without even starting the "real" main quest, which I consider starts with Bleak Falls Barrow, or even when you tell Jarl Balgruuf about Helgen.
The next thing is the size. Skyrim is HUGE. You can easily spend several ingame days walking from one city to another, which gives you a feeling of realism and immersion. By the way: immersion. This is also a big feature of Skyrim. There are, for example, tons of items which are essentially useless, like broomsticks or cooking devices. You simply can't do anything with them, but it makes the world of Skyrim believeable. Skyrim is, of course, not perfect: there are some minor flaws, but those are really, really minor. Plus, most of them (98%) can be rectified using mods. Bethesda made Skyrim extremely easy to modify and even released a modding toolkit, the Creation Kit. By now, there is a mod for everything. Really, everything. Just think of something and google for a Skyrim mod of it - you'll probably find one, or even two or three. OK, as you can see, I pretty much LOVE this game. Now I'll distribute some points regarding key game elements.

SETTING: 10/10 - as I said before, Skyrim's world is massive, and there is an infinite amount of things to do. Also , there's lots of lore that is consistent with all previous ES games. The nordic setting might not be everyone's thing, but I like it.

GAMEPLAY: 8.5/10 - combat is not /really/ a strength of Elder Scrolls games. Especially the ranged combat (archery & magic). But it's nice to play, and with a mod or two you can add lots of depth to the combat system. The UI is where Skyrim seriously lacks - which is why no-one should even touch the game without installing the SkyUI mod beforehands. Without it the menus are a pain to navigate.

VISUALS: 9.5/10 - the visuals are awesome. Even today, in 2014. With the right rig you can use awesome mods like ENB or Skyrim HD 2k that add lots of post-processing effects and higher quality textures to the game, making it look like it has been released yesterday. Plus, the various settings and highly tweakable ini files make Skyrim run even on very low-end hardware.

OVERALL: 9.5/10 - buy it if you didn't already! It's a great game! Hf!
