This game is a good start for a series of visual novel set in the World of Darkness. It does really create a nice atmosphere and brings in a bunch of memorable characters, some which come straight from the rpg books. For someone who loves playing the tabletop game this was a pleasant surprise.
As a visual novel it works well to just sit back and relax and spend a few hours on.
My only complaints is that no matter choosing your clan there is basically little variation in the main story. And seeing the original price point I find it a bit hard to completely justify that.
The story itself is short and to the point. So having a bit more variety between the three clan choices would be nice, now it is only two scenes of personal history that differ.

Overall I enjoyed the game.

First off, I love the games by Blue GIraffe/ Gamehouse and the Heart's series is one of my favourite. But this game or "Mobile port" left me a disappointed.
I previously played the game on the tablet where it already felt grindy, But it could be excused as it being a free game and you where often limited in how much you could play on a day.

With the Steam version the grind remains. And while it seems you get a bit more resources (and are not limited to how much you can do in a day) it feels weird that so little has changed. It really comes across as a mobile game where you paid to just have the daily restriction lifted.
Right from the start it is clear that this is a port taken from the IOS/ Android version of the game. Unlike the other games where you follow a linear story with challenges, here it is basically a grind. You need to keep repeating the levels again and again to unlock enough stars and hearts to buy the needed upgrades or unlock the story further.

You have the storyline but also added on branches of levels with no story but just additional challenges. While fun at first, it tired quickly and has little added value. While the original games were fun, it felt more and more like a repetitive chore to me.
The cute storyline is still there with some nice twists and turns and sad/ happy moments. But at the end so much is left unresolved and so many questions are still open. And seeing how much you grinded to get to end it feels a bit lackluster. From what I understood is that the mobile versions have had their storylines continue. So far I am not sure if this will happen on the Steam/ PC version as well and if it happens if it will be a DLC or a free patch.
After finishing the "normal" portion of the games you can unlock the Elite line. Which ends up being the same grind all over again. Elite is not that harder compared to the normal version and with upgrades it soon becomes the exact same grind as before. It just adds a couple of more challenges so you can unlock 2 more movies/cutscenes. It is a lot of effort for very little reward.
Another thing that made this feel like a weird release is the fact that unlike the other games there are no trading cards, no achievements. There is nothing that has been added to at least make the grind worthwhile to some.
Overall I love the series and the story but I this translation from "mobile" to steam felt unfinished and disappointing. I can really recommend the other games from this company but this one needs some work.
+ more stories from Allison and her friends
+ The general gameplay is fun and something you can do in-between chores. A level doesn't take ages.
+ Fun minigames
+ For gamers of all skill levels
- It is basically end up being a long boring grind
- Storyline feels unfinished with a lot of open questions. This seems to have been resolved in the mobile versions no idea on the pc version.
- Nothing added to Steam in terms of achievement and trading cards
- Elite mode does little, it isn't that much harder and only adds two new cutscenes which you can only unlock by grinding away with it. Little reward for hard work.

This has been one of my favourite games for the past few years. It is clearly made by a team that tries to listen to the players, try to balance the wants/needs of the people who play it and keep the game fresh.
It has come a long way ever since the beta release back in 2012 (closed beta)/ 2013 (open beta). And with the lastest updates you can see how far they have come.
There is an open world now, quests and a frame and weapon to suit every playstyle you can think of. It is one of the few games that doesn't rely heavily on microtransactions. With some luck and effort you can unlock most content without paying a dime.

The only downsides are:
- Easy to start but hard to master, on a lot of stuff there is little guidance or even info in the game. So you need to rely on the player community and wikia to get the info.
- There is a storyline but it can be frustrating to unlock and there is not enough activity in quest content yet to make it feel really "alive" if you are in it for storylines.

The game is pretty solid if you also bought it for the multi-player aspect.
The single player campaign is good and very enjoyable. However the story is pretty much standard and it's really short providing 8-12 hrs at best. It does help if you are already familair with the Warhammer 40k setting as it does little to explain things. It feels very much that this was made with the fans in mind.
Playing the other modes in multi player it certainly has a lot of charm. But you really need to be invested in both modes of play to get the most bang for your buck.

The game is often on sale on Steam and in that case it certainly not a bad deal. If only to have a fun shooter in your collection which perfect to hoot your worries away.

+ A fun game where you get to shoot and hit things
+ Interesting for those familiar with the lore/ stories of 40k
+ Multiplayer can be fun

- Rather short storyline in single player
- Story can be confusing for those unfamiliar with the story behind it
- Game is old(er) so finding a game means using discord to get some multiplayer going.
