Early Access Review
Tabletop Simulator is essentially a game that involves... well.. tables. All you're really given is a table and a sandbox environment to play around with. For some games, this works wonderfully. For others, maybe not so much. With an astounding catalogue of games available in the Steam Workshop, it's very hard to pass up this game.

Something I have to note is that this game is really only fun with friends. I don't think the single player portion of this game is even remotely fun or entertaining. Its only purpose in reality is probably for creating mods to put in the workshop. So if you don't have any friends to play this game with, you might have a hard time finding this enjoying. There are servers that you could just join in theory, but in my experience people tend to kick you out as soon as possible because you're interrupting their friends-only game.

The controls of this game are fairly simple and quick to learn. They offer you a tutorial that allows you learn the controls in about 5 minutes so you can play right away. Right clicking on items brings up options such as dealing cards to all players, changing the tinting of the textures, and other miscellaneous options. From some of my friend's experience, the controls for the controllers leave something to be desired so I can't say I recommend it or not since I've never tried it. I have only heard bad things about it though.

On the online side of things, the game provides many host options to allow the game to be in the forefront of attention. Some of the options that they allow you to turn on and off include:

- Table flipping
- Scaling of pieces
- Locking of pieces
- The notepad
- Painting
- Placing hidden areas

And many more. So if you want to get down to the nitty gritty, this game allows you to set options that allow the main focus to be the game rather than messing around flipping the table and drawing penises all over the table. You are also allowed to set a password if you don't want non-friends to join.

Installing mods is overall an easy process and with a huge selection I find it hard to really say anything bad about this game. There are multiple guides on the steam community page that teaches you how to make mods, but even that process is incredibly simple. It just requires some URLs and that's it.

Overall I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing tabletop games with their friends.
