This is a great game, but not without flaws, as it is usual in the genre. Many of its flaws are also the usual too.
I think that as of now this ties with The Surge 1 as my favorite soul like outside of FromSoftware.
I think I will do another playthrough right away.

What's good:

- Some enemies were fantastic. My favorite is Victor. Some areas were very good too.
- Performance, flawless. I have never notice any fps drop or problem and neither with the demo.
- Having cheap respect options.
- Many weapons and also weapon combinations are amazing. Being able to mix blade and handle is genious. This will probably be my main reason for replaying this game.

What's ok:

- Story and characters. I wasn't expecting anything but they were actually good and interesting most of the time.
- The dialogue choices had more depth than I expected.
- Customization was better than I expected. But I miss having tanking options like poise and not just physical damage mitigation.
- They did a good job with the combat changes. I think it would be better if the amount of guard regain you lose on taking damage was much much less, even having the P-organ makes almost no difference.
- The pacing of the game. I had the sense that I was reaching the climax for a very long time, which made me be even more eager to continue. I think this went on for 10 hours at least.

What's a bit bad:

- Attacks feel floaty. Particularly heavy attacks feel like they have unreal speed and acceleration, making some of the animations weirdly fast, making those attacks hard to read.
- Attack patterns feel unnatural and bait you into attacking before they are finished. This happens almost with every boss. Sadly it is an increasingly common trend in these games but in this one is pretty much a norm.
- Bosses attacking when they are supposed to be stunned after a charged attack when they are staggered. There are only a few instances of this, but it is like the previous point, something to spice the combat but in a bad way in my opinion.
- Combat distance. There are a couple of bosses with a moveset that makes them frustrating with certain short weapons because they move back constantly at the same time they are giving you an opening. Particularly Fuoco.
- The game is extrimely linear. The only secrets you find are part of backtraking quests that are only possible after finding the hint item.
- Hitting enemies with a charged attack after they become vulnerable is more difficult when playing a motivity (strength) build, because those weapons are usually considerably slower and with less reach. This is annoying at the beginning of NG but it becomes tolerable once you find better weapons. The trick is that you can use certain items to proc it instead of a charged attack and also switch to another weapon with more reach and speed just for triggering it (upgrades and stats don't matter). But still it can be annoying with fast enemies and in hard situations.
- A bit too many ledges with snipers. They didn't give me much trouble but I can see how they could be frustrating, particularly when there were more than 1.

What's bad:

- Some hit boxes. Particularly those that hit before that part of the enemy actually makes contact with you. I know they are hard work, but they are extremely important.
- Many attacks are too fast and some are almost impossible to see. Having a boss is no excuse to give it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attacks. I think this could be fixed just by giving 1-2 frames to most of those attacks and some more to those very few lightning fast attacks (yes I am referring to you Laxasia).
- That quest that requires you to have a certain terrible boss weapon, with a quartz reward.
- Gang fights, particularly the gang boss, twice.
- Weapon bouncing at walls, while hitting enemies through walls just fine. This happens in a lot of spots and with many weapons.
- Not having poise. There is some hyper armor though.
- Having to reach NG+ to fully unlock the P-organ tree. In NG you don't even know in that there are more hidden parts in the tree, making it 7 subtrees instead of 5. There is a mod in nexusmods called P-organ 7 phase unlock that allows you to reach the last part in NG, making it a better experience than vanilla, because many options in the P-organ tree feel like filler and are very dependant of your playstyle, and I personally find a lot of those useless or weak.

In any case, you can beat the game just fine with a bit of patience, consumables or the summoning system.

This is one of those extrimely short games where you enjoy every minute of it.
It's free, give it a try for 10 minutes.

Peace was never an option.

This is one of those very short games where you enjoy every minute of it.
I recommend getting this on sale because the price is very high for its length.

I put a fair amount of hours in Titan Quest back in the day.
This game was ok at the time, but I personally preferred Diablo 2.

Currently I think PoE and Last Epoch are the best games of the genre and it's quite hard to come back to this.
I would probably rate this alongside Torchlight 2, behind Grim Dawn and Diablo 2.

So unless you are a very big fan of the genre or have a lot of nostalgia for this game I would recommend you invest your time in other games.

I usually replay this kind of game a lot, but in this case I only beat it once when got around it 6 months ago.
I put a ton of hours into Diablo 2, PoE and Last Epoch, and also a much lesser amount in Titan Quest. I reckon I would have played this a lot if I had it in my library when it released.
I found Grim Dawn to be neat but old, but there are still a couple of things that it does better than any other game in the genre like the dual classes and the constellation system.

Currently I think PoE and Last Epoch are the best games of the genre and it's a bit hard to come back to this. But I plan to eventually give it another spin probably with mods.

Very fun game for coop with a friend, one of the best for sure in that regard.
I am not good at shooters but this was a blast. I am looking forward to play the first one with my friend.

The archetype system is great.
The enemies are well done and some bosses are amazing.
There is quite a lot of content.
The online experience is great (and I was playing with someone that usually has problems with his connection because he is using a shared 4G connection). I whish the netcode in FromSoftware's games were this good.

I don't like the balance algorithm around the power level. A penalty for leveling weapons doesn't feel right. I think it would be better if instead was something like zone level + the mean of the 2 highests archetypes, but with a higher scaling per level.

The damage reduction formula is a bit weird.

Having random areas and rewards is a good way to give everyone a different experience in their playthrough, but becomes very frustrating if you want a particular item that is locked behind the random generation of a zone because it may not spawn even if you find the right zone. There are still some items I would like for my build but I think I am going to give up because it's just frustrating.

And I hate the final boss. Having glitches in a souls like is unintuitive and frustrating because it makes you have to learn every attack multiple times.

I am surprised with the amount of objects, characters, acting, lore and choices this game has.
This is the deepest implementation of dungeons and dragons that I have tried, by a lot.

At first the game is very slow, particularly if you are not used to crpg, but as you go on and get to know the ui and the basic flow of the game (maybe in 2-10 hours) it becomes very inmersive and enjoyable.

I finished my first playthrough in around 100 hours and now I am playing other two: dark urge and tactician. There is a lot you can do in this game, role playing and all, but personally I thing the most efficient approach is to save a lot and experiment with as many minor choices as possible in a single playthrough and then do everything that you feel like doing.

I don't like the ui and the camera can be very annoying. The story, characters and envoriments are great, but there are minor performance and bugs (usually nothing that can't be solved by reloading).

I think this is a nice game and I do have a lot of hours in it, but I would not rate it as high as most reviews are doing lately. I don't think this is the best pc game ever and I would rate it something like 8-9.

At first this game looks like it's unfair and too hard.
After having beaten it multiple times with every class I have come to the conclusion that it is unfair at times, but that the difficulty it's not that bad and actually it is one of the main factors that make it interesting.
The unfairness comes from the limitations of choice for your deck and the fact that it is a deck game, therefore rng has a fair statistic chance to be bad for you. Depending on your deck, your enemy and particularly the size of your deck this rng can be lethal. My highest priority is always having the samllest deck possible because of that, which is something that took me a while to understand at first, making the mistake of grabbing every card I could.

The amount of content here comes mostly from the classes x cards x enemies, but sadly there are not that many enemies or random events. Fortunately there are a lot of mods, some of which are very good. I enjoyed QoL and class mods and I still have a lot of them in my todo list.

Early Access Review
Good simple game.
It would be great if it had more content, like more paths, bosses and normal enemies and more customization, but we know that at least some of that it's comming.
It doesn't feel asl roguelike as other games because of that, therefore hurting replayability, but it is still a good game overall.

This is ok for the price on sale.
There is nothing particularly fancy about it, but also nothing particularly wrong either.
The worst part of my experience (playing as Berserk) was the targeting system, having to click enemies individually becomes annoying particularly when the game has many enemies that constantly push you away.

I would rate it somewhere along with Titan Quest, but worse than Grim Dawn and Diablo 2.
Currently my top of the genre are PoE and Last Epoch.
