What if Path of Exile didn't require an encyclopedic knowledge of Diablo II or earlier versions of Path of Exile that don't exist anymore? The answer is Last Epoch. You can do just about anything you want to do in PoE in less time and without farming for obscure gear. The only thing missing is the years and years of endgame content. They'll get there.

Lean cut of sirloin with zero fat - love that that Arrowhead has twice resisted a bloated single player campaign tacked on to appeal to multiple audiences. After the launch of the original, this game knew exactly who it was and who wanted to play it. Now it's back with a serious upgrade to lap its own ghost just for the hell of it.

With the 3.0 update Path of Exile has gone from being a better version of Diablo II to an all around better game than Diablo III. After instantly becoming one of the top selling titles in PC history (off the back of Diablo II's utter brilliance) Blizzard has finally released... one new Act for $ and a $15 Necromancer pack. And -1 auction house. Meanwhile, Path of Exile has continually added new content, competitive leagues, and hundreds of new weapons and abilities for about a solid decade. The 3.0 update alone added 6 new Acts of content for FREE. There's a reason that the Diablo III community (Rhykker, etc) has jumped ship to Path of Exile. Pick a random time and check out Twitch viewership and compare PoE to D3 and judge for yourself. The ARPG community has spoken: we're all playing Path of Exile.
