This was a really interesting concept, with a lot of mechanics and things to keep track of. It would be fun in VR but it's a LOT.

I enjoy the idea of this game but it got old fast for me. I think only one level should require you to go into such detail (and somewhat subjective) about the type of "anomaly" (aka spot the difference), you see. It could use a better tutorial as well, a few lines of text and it's not clear at all what to do. I had to look up a guide because it wasn't obvious I should be quickly clicking through the screens or that sometimes there would be no differences. I've never played any of the others but I am a bit shocked this is the 5th game. I wish I could give this game an in the middle rating. I got it on steam sale.

This is a cute and short game. Poor projector face! Enjoyable and relaxing. Be warned, if you want a perfect game with all the achievements you can't make an incorrect click!

Nice short little mystery walking sim with a hint of hidden object. Relaxing soundtrack. Can play it in 30 minutes if you rush through, but if you want to get all the hidden items/achievements it takes about an hour. There's a good walkthrough available too if you get stuck. Sad story. Trigger warning: the dog dies, and there's attempted suicide

This was a quick game, I finished it in 2 hours and I'm usually a slow player. So it's nice if you're someone who enjoys gaming but doesn't have time to invest (like me- a new mom!).
Despite it being a horror game, it's not too stressful to play. Just a few jump scares. Otherwise, it's more a mystery and puzzle game. Linear, point and click, walking with some very basic mechanics. You can't die. You don't have to worry about sanity. There are flashlights and candles in the game but they aren't required for gameplay, I didn't even use all my batteries.

There are lots of little hidden items for achievements, so be sure to look around. There's also a hidden ending if you feel like replaying just the ending. (Once you finish the main game you can click continue to go back to the last level). The puzzles are not very hard. The jumpscares are mild but they got me a few times I admit.

It's just a pretty fun and quick game to play if you're short on time and like this genre. Also, it's easy to add it to your perfect game collection with the achievements. You'll likely figure them all out on your own but if you miss something it's a fast replay, and there are some walkthroughs available online.

nearly 7 bucks extra for about 10 more minutes of gameplay. Don't even get an achievement. No reason why this couldn't be in the main game.

I recommend it, but really I wish I could put my verdict more in the middle.

After the last game I had lower expectations. I always enjoy Sherlock Games to a degree, it just depends on the changes. This one certainly improves upon the others, but not without some issues. It's tricky to explain without spoilers, so I'll be tagging.

Open Map - I enjoy the open map, though nothing that happens is truly random. It's not like other open worlds where you'll run into random battles or quests, these are all pretty specific and you still need to do something to trigger them. But the world is large, lots to see, interesting setting/background.

Mechanics - You can listen to gossip and filter out what's important, use your concentration as in previous games, stage what you think happened, change costumes, and do your chemical analysis on the run without the need for a specific table location. That being said there's some pointless or confusing mechanics. You can see 3 observations for literally any person you pass, but there's no point to it. It's not tied to any quest or the story. It's interesting for a few seconds but then it's pointless.

Combat - The combat flat out sucks for most of us. It would be improved if you could practice as long as you wanted before going out into the real situations. You can fight in bandit lairs, but it's hard to keep track of which ones you've fought in as nothing changes once you do. So you can re-do them for better scores to earn a little cash. It's just very clunky, it's trying to take the button approach you see in games like tell-tale but it doesn't work.

Racism/Sexism etc - To me, this was kind of hypocritical. There's this big disclaimer at the beginning about why they keep it in but for 99% of the cases it adds NOTHING to the story to have some sort of racist or sexist statement. Lots of women love these sherlock games and I got pretty tired of hearing characters randomly spout how crappy women are, especially coming from Sherlock who never uttered such words in the source material. To me, it would be one thing if it actually had something to do with the story, but except for one case it really doesn't. It also seems very hypocritical to elude that it's meant to be true to the time and source material but then make such drastic changes to Jon, and drastic changes to Sherlock's back story, and that is totally ok?? Lots of stigmatising of mental illness too.

Jon - this totally craps all over the original Jon Watson idea/character. He's your IMAGINARY FRIEND suggesting that Sherlock has a mental or personality disorder causing him to see him. He's got an annoying attitude, calls you "Sherry" and it COULD have been a really interesting reveal but they fumble it.

DLC - The game is quite expensive already, then the DLC is too. I haven't played the DLC yet but the common complaint is that you can't be finished the game you have to go to an earlier save for it to work. It's also apparently very short and not worth the extra $.

Sherlock - I find it weird that they think he wouldn't remember his life 10 years ago. He's only supposed to be 20. There's trauma involved yes, but he forgets LOADS

Achievements - They are tied to some REALLY stupid things which is annoying. If you are someone who enjoys collecting them, you'll be forced to make some truly stupid decisions that are out of character like Sherlock letting someone off with rape .

Cases are too open ended - There's no right or wrong, which I think would be fine for SOME of the cases, but especially with a specific case involving an Elephant, it sucks to put that much work into something only to come out the other side more confused than when you started. It would be nice to have an actual payoff.

I think a lot of these things can be improved upon with patches and DLC. It seems like the Devs listened to the Feedback on Devil's Daughter. So maybe they will for this.

If you like Sherlock, you'll enjoy most of it. Maybe you're a dude and it won't bother you hearing crappy comments about women all the time. It just is alienating for those of us not men, or white. Lots of people enjoy Sherlock. The ending was really nice though and make it worthwhile to play

a very quick game, finished it in 15 minutes. You could probably do it in less. refresh rate was a little slow. other than that it seemed interesting and was quite straight forward. if you want all the achievements let the credits roll.

This was an OK game but it doesn't give you any directions. It's possible to get 100% and still not actually "finish" the game. There are 3 achievements tied to alternate endings and you can do them all without unlocking all parts of the game. Some funny easter eggs, but you really have no direction and a lot of the stuff is NOT obvious in the slightest. I had to look at a guide and even then... I think the game could use more clarity otherwise it's just pointless clicking around. It also bugged out a lot and crashed on me 3 times. If you want to continue to get the alternate endings it'll randomly reset various aspects, and achievements may not work at all unless you close and re-load the game

This was an interesting game. I started it before the official release and got stuck at a game breaking point. So when it was fixed I had to re-start the game. It's a lot of small details and detective work. Some of it is timed, and it's easy to miss a vital clue. Some of the achievements didn't work for me which was a bummer because I did all the requirements. Some of the English translation isn't great. The plot is interesting but contains a lot of triggering content so be aware. Overall I enjoyed it and you'll likely beat it faster than I did because my time on the game includes my first attempt. Multiple endings.
