Really fun so far :D highly recommend it! I like it way more than warframe/destiny even though I never got too far into those games.

The mechanics and gameplay is nice. It feels very streamlined. I love the weapons, gunplay, movement and abilities. A perfect game to play with friends. Storyline is pretty linear however I haven't been paying attention to the cutscenes. Bless the dialogue and cutscene skip btw, I appreciate that this game has this option, it's great for people who want to focus on progressing through. Thankfully my friend guided me with the basics of this game - the upgrades, modules, guns and other components are pretty straightforward after understanding how the basics work.

I had some issues with the shaders loading screen, it was extremely slow, maybe I need a PC upgrade soon. I did some "fix" to it and it slightly improved. Overall, I would like if this game can be optimized better for lower-end PCs in the meantime as I've been experienced some lag and random stutters.🥺

The Sniper ammunition is extremely lacking, so I'm hoping that they increase the spawn rate for those bullets. The weapons with special bullets just feel so lackluster because of the low spawn rate, it sometimes feels useless.

For the AR and SMG ammo, sometimes in missions they don't seem to drop at all, so you may find yourself running around with 0 bullets trying to survive. Eventually maybe you will be lucky that it will drop or when you get downed then respawn, it resets your ammunition.

I purchased this game with the expectation of playing it through Steam and without the requirement of third-party accounts. Now that these changes are being implemented, this was not as initially advertised prior to release.

The game was fully functional without the need for a PSN account. Extremely unnecessary for Sony to mandate the account link in order to play. Truly unfortunate for a fun game.

greedy company :D

i never cared about PvE at the time when everyone begged for PvE and blizzard promised it for their "sequel". Overwatch 2 was an excuse to turn it into a complete cashgrab garbage :)

this game also gave me brain aids

Early Access Review
[My Review so far]

[Cons]
Mechanics feel extremely janky which is my main complaint. The game is very buggy, often encountering some glitches and I've experienced rage-inducing stuttering (server/game issue?). Extreme lagging, 1100ms+ when joining on another world, the connection is unstable and unplayable sometimes. However there's no lag when hosting. I guess it kinda makes sense for an early access game, but I'm not sure if it's worth the 40AUD~ atm right now, unless you don't mind trying it out.
To deal with the lag issue in the meantime, I suggest playing on a Dedicated Server if you're playing multiplayer and with friends. If you're playing solo, it's fine to start a Multiplayer game as the Host, there is no issue with extreme lag.

I also personally I don't like how slow it feels to craft items (Handicraft). The slowness can feel mind-numbingly monotonous and boring at times. After some grind to get everything you need it will feel less slow and might feel less overly repetitive. The caves look kinda basic and seems like an AI-generated unity assets map. There are some bugs with the Pals, where you assign them with a task but they don't follow. Most achievements don't seem to work if you are playing in multiplayer and not the host of the server. I hope the devs can improve on these.
Due to server instability, it makes me paranoid at the possibility of losing my save files and character progression. Suggesting that the devs can have secure backup mechanics or at least allow people to transfer over character level progression and world saves across more stable servers, if that is even possible.

[Pros]
While many people have been commenting about Palworld's good features on how it's essentially taken the positive mechanics out of other successful games. This game's overall concept is cool and quite nice. It's innovative and on a good path to being a very amazing game, it just really needs to be streamlined. I hope it will be eventually because it has a lot of potential. The map is huge and there's plenty to do in this game. Palworld has a lot of very interesting mechanics. It looks like a Pokemon clone on the surface but it's an entirely different game. I'd say it's just mainly the aesthetics, the Pals and "catching them with the spheres" that are comparably similar to Pokemon. I like the Pal designs. The gameplay is unique and it's easy to get hooked. The farming, crafting, combat, breeding, building and world exploration aspects are all fun.

I also really like how the game allows you to adjust some of the world settings for your comfort so that it's not insanely grindy and or unreasonable. (Some of the egg incubation time is way too long in my opinion). Especially for example if you don't have much time to game due to work etc. The settings allow you to remove the excessive waiting time that can be a bit too much in my opinion.

Palworld is definitely fun game for a casual survival game. Pretty much what you can expect from the survival genre - the farming and the grind. And just like most other survival games, it's best played with friends. I'm someone who's not really the biggest fan of the survival genre, this game is entertaining.

I would recommend waiting maybe a few months before buying this game, unless you're willing to try regardless of the connectivity issues, bugs and lag. Even if you decide to buy it now, Palworld is quite a solid game and you're guaranteed to have your enjoyment! :D
