Best ck2 dlc yet and fully worth the price. Adds new gameplay elements to literally all corners of the world. Adds new ways of playing the game like random or shattered world. Already includes the new portraits, music and unit models that usually come with a separate dlc.

When a humble bard

Graced a ride along

With Geralt of Rivia

Along came this song

From when the White Wolf fought

A silver-tongued devil

His army of elves

At his hooves did they revel

They came after me

With masterful deceit

Broke down my lute

And they kicked in my teeth

While the devil’s horns

Minced our tender meat

And so cried the Witcher

He can’t be bleat

Toss a coin to your Witcher

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’

Toss a coin to Your Witcher

O’ Valley of Plenty

At the edge of the world

Fight the mighty horde

That bashes and breaks you

And brings you to mourn

He thrust every elf

Far back on the shelf

High up on the mountain

From whence it came

He wiped out your pest

Got kicked in his chest

He’s a friend of humanity

So give him the rest

That’s my epic tale

Our champion prevailed

Defeated the villain

Now pour him some ale

Toss a coin to your Witcher

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’

Toss a coin to your Witcher

And friend of humanity

Toss a coin to your Witcher

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’

And friend of humanity

Toss a coin to your Witcher

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’ Valley of Plenty

O’

Toss a coin to your Witcher

A friend of humanity

After getting pretty tired from vanilla dark souls III PvE and it's linear areas, this was a joy to my eyes. Never have I been so hyped at 23:00 waiting for a dlc to be released so I could get right into it.

And it has arrived. You enter the painted world of Ariandel. You leave the cave and hear a lot of summon signs appearing. Oh joy, the dark souls jolly cooperation is alive again! What a time to be alive! Then you see a very thick fog and a lot of snow. Oh God, you think yo yourself, will this be another Frigid Valley? Will there be any of those horse/unicorn mother*uckers? Will I curse the day I bought this dlc?! Well if you liked those I got some bad news for you, because it was not like Frigid Valley at all.

I really enjoyed the level design with many different paths you can take, the snowy style was absolutely beautiful. New enemies were interesting and mostly challenging, the only drawback is that there were times when they simply threw hordes of enemies at you, instead of making the encounter more interesting and unique (still doesnt compare to those horses in the Frigid Valley), but in general, I liked it.

New weapons look cool, the weapon arts are absolutely fantastic (give more Valorheart please) and the new armour is fashionable af.

Even though there weren't many bosses, the main boss was amazing, very difficult with many phases, one of my favorite ones in the series for sure. The optional boss was very cool as well, even though for me it was pretty easy (but the encounter was unforgetable, mind you).

The lore is deep with this one (good luck Vaati)

As for the lenght, I completed the dlc in about 8 hours (with searching every crook and cranny, hitting walls in order to find the fake ones and getting every item there is as far as I know). I think it could've been longer, but I enjoyed every minute of the playtime so hey, that's pretty good. Maybe the next dlc focuses more on PvE, we'll see.

And of course, PvP. The new added arena is AMAZING. You have choises for duels, 2/4/6 player brawls, team battles etc. There has never been more chaos in a team fight before. No more ganks or chuggers if duels are what you wish. It is simply great.

So in the end I do recommend this dlc a lot. The blind exploration in a dark souls game is what keeps me going and it is what i got.

Cheers.
