Since the release of the game's final version, people have been unfairly review bombing the game due to a collective delusion of a supposed nerf to character movement, which is not true. The developers themselves have confirmed that there were no direct changes to the game's movement, but that perhaps some changes in the animation, sound, and other details of the game may have changed people's perception of it.

I 100% recommend the game to anyone who appreciates fast-paced FPS games with lots of movement, something close to Apex in this regard.

The game modes are quite different from what we find in the competitive gaming scene and promise a lot. We'll see how it goes in the future, but there is already a very interesting player base and I believe it will become something big (and copies will probably emerge).

Don't pay attention to all these negative reviews, try it out, it's free, you'll probably like it.

Not as good as it should be. First of all, this is a console port with the most confusing key binds ever, cleary the devs doesn't play games on PC to set binds like this. Simple graphics settings that every game has options in the menu, like V-Sync, doesn't have an in-game option to enable/disable, you have to edit config files to achieve a smooth gameplay (with V-Sync on, as default, input lag was terrible). Co-op gameplay is bad too, you can't really progress with your friends, there's a lot of moments that you need to enter a room or building and if everybody joins the team leader instance of the room, only the leader progress in the mission while others have to enter in their own instace, so you have to choose between repeating the mission for as many players you have on your team, to play together, or each one has to enter "solo" in the room/building.

But the worse for sure is the huge lag that non north america players suffer from playing in the public servers. As a Brazilian, it seems that there's no option than playing a laggy game where it takes seconds between landing a shot and it taking effect into the enemy's health. And I won't even start talking about private PAID sessions, yes, you have to pay for a montly subscription to create your own private instance to play just with your friends, and I don't even know if this would fix the lag, probably not. And as a "online-only" game, I don't really know how it will be in like 10 years, if you want to play the game again, the servers need to be on because there's no "local" gameplay, like the good and old Fallouts.

I didn't play this game at launch, but playing in 2023 seems like they just fixed the game enough so it won't crash every 5 minutes, but overall Bethesda is focused in drain your money instead of offering a good gameplay. It's sad to see that they're following the path of other game devs that are ruining great titles of the past while trying to squeeze every cent possible from their customers.

Early Access Review
This is a really immersive game and it's not for casual players. I don't know any other game with so in depth metabolism system than this one, that tries to mimic real life. So, reading some bad reviews here, I had to write this.

Most complains about eating, drinking, vomiting, pissing, pooping and so on and never getting energy to run around an actually play, even the ""pro" ones with lots of hours in-game. It seems to me that they're just trying to play it wrong, I can guess they're probably sprinting all map long, burning every calorie, fat and muscle that they have, all the water reserve, and then they wil try to recover all of it at once by pushing every edible item in the game inside their stomach to keep sprinting again, but obviously they don't get it right.

If you drink more water than you can proccess, it will go directly to you bladder and you'll be pissing all the time. If you eat more than you can proccess, you will throw up, even with 0% energy. That's because you need time to process everything, like in real life, you don't eat a full goat and then go for a run, you need to lay down and relax, right? That's the same in the game. It's all about maintaing your metabolism, not destroying it and then try to recover it in every possible wrong way. Do it like you should do in real life (but you don't, too).

Play it right and you'll not worry to much about this, take a good 400ml sip of water, some cooked beefs and lay down for 5min before a walk, carry a 2l watter bottle with you and maybe an extra portion of food, and there you go, you can explore for 1 to 2 hours with that. Don't sprint, only when really needed, to keep your calorie burn rate low, don't eat trash food or a full butter bar, or you'll get nausea and eventually fat.

And I think this shows a little bit of how the game works for you all, it's not for casuals and it's alpha, so bugs are expected, there's a lot of updates, hotfixes and patches that change gameplay, so you have to keep an eye on the community to really learn the game and help the devs with suggestions and bug reports.

This is not Rust and the player base is a little nicier with new players, not every encounter turns into death, there's some kind of role play within servers populations, like tradings, alliances and things like that. In official/vanilla servers there's no wipes (there's a decay system for player structures), so you don't have to start again every week or month. You have to level your skills up to get better in stuff, and overall it's a pretty complex game that challenges your decision making.

For me it's a solid 10/10 and one of a kind.
