What a pleasant little story to be told.

I hate card based video games, I hate them with almost every fibre of my being.

But Root? I don't hate this game, it's actually one of my favorite games and I encourage anyone who's ever played the physical game( or the version on Tabletop Simulator) to give this version a chance. the visuals are charming, the sounds and effects are very well done and it's just an all round good time with friends, or even just bots. Bots are much harder to bluff though...

And to the developers I have only one thing to say; CORVID CONSPIRACY DLC WHEN?

In all honesty, Unless you're planning on playing this game specifically for the achievements or the challenge rooms, you would be better off just playing the original versions of the game. at least half of my play time was related to waiting for the game to recover from one of it's frequent frame stalls or trying to prevent the game from crashing altogether either due to loading a new level or a previous save. If you DO decide to play this over the original version, good luck.

Great game; good for when you need to scratch that portal itch and have already played portal and portal 2 to death.

Playing as a race that doesn't start with a weapon? trying to do a whole run without crafting anything? Punch a pig to death and use it's limb as a weapon! and later, you can eat it to avoid starving! WIN!

I was rather surprised to see all the bad reviews by people upset about this game; From the moment I heard about this game a few weeks before release, I haven't looked forward to a game this much since borderlands 2. all the 16 titans I had fought( apparently I missed a few during gameplay) had been designed wonderfully; As majestic as they are brutal and unrelenting, the moment you initiate a fight, they press hard and fast until it dies, or you become reduced to a sad smudge on the ground. that said, comparatively speaking this WAS a short game, though I will be attempting the extra modes later on( no roll mode looks awfully brutal).

That said, I enjoyed this run overall, and hope that others who buy it, find sufficient enjoyment in this game as well.

Damn, just finished all the sets( in group A) and lemmetellyouwhat; Extemely satisfying tangram puzzles that bring me back to my childhood. Just fiddling with the pieces until a pattern just "pops" is one of the most enjoyable aspects I've found for these and similar types of puzzles. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did
