As a RoR1 player, I was really hyped for this. The game is still the same harshness as the last game, but also is fresh enough to where nothing is the same. The items and survivors are still being reworked and still being monitored, but as of this time I really enjoy the diversity and the current state of them. I would personally say that if you want to get into the game, play RoR1 first because that one has more visibility. RoR2 has a problem where there is too many effects going on for someone to know what is going on, so it makes it difficult for a new player to understand what to do. I would also say try it unmodded for a few times before modding it.

While this is a great game, please note that they took out Direct IP mode in multiplayer because they took out the GameSpy server and replaced it withy Steamworks. Other than that, have fun messin with the firewalls.
