Before I say anything, I must say that I normally don't like medieval fantasy settings, it is usually my only hold back for enjoying many truly great RPGs like this one. However, I absolutely love RPGs, Fallout 1-2, Fallout New Vegas, and Wasteland are among my favorites, and while I love games like Mass Effect, it feels like so many RPGs are forgetting the roots of what makes an RPG. The role-playing.
To put it simply, this is quite possibly the best game I have played since 2010 with Mass Effect 2 and Fallout New Vegas. I really don't know if there is anymore I can say about the game that the internet hasn't already praised it for.
Everything, and I mean, everything in this game is beyond exceptional, it raises the bar on what I personally expect in not just RPGs but games in general. The story and writing is phenomenal, the graphics are awe-inspiring, the soundtrack makes every scene, fight, and encounter feel so much more intense, and the acting was on another level. And that's not even talking about the game play and how truly deep an RPG this game is, and all of that can be enjoyed alone or in 2-4 player co-op.
I don't care if you don't like medieval fantasy settings, if you don't like RPGs, or if you don't like turn-based games. Give this game a try, it is truly and adventure like no other. It fully lives up to it's $60 price tag, and it doesn't need micro-transactions, some stupid battle pass, subscription, or $70 price with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse to succeed.
