This is an interesting piece for media scholars, if their claim that it's used as an actual training simulator is true (Wikipedia says nothing on the subject). Maybe the claim itself has a certain interest. As a game itself, it gets tedious quickly. I've done the first few missions, obediently stacking up troops and kicking in doors. My folks usually get wounded - important for a training simulator, but carrying no real in-game consequence apart from your mission rating. I think if this game came out twenty years ago it would have been more interesting, but I think we've hit a saturation point in our culture where my just describing "stacking up and breaching" is enough for you to understand the gameplay. While I haven't played a lot of the content, the pattern establishes itself fairly quickly and doesn't inspire enough interest for me to continue.

Final verdict, if you can get it on a steeeeeeep discount, it's worth a few hours of tinkering after which you will say "Well that's kind of neat" and forget you bought it.

The price says it's a finished game, but it's not. As other reviews indicate, there are some bugs, gameplay balance issues, and an overall sense that there is more to come... but it never does. The moral of the story is don't pay full price for "early access." It's not a special insider pass, it's just unpaid beta testing.
