Can't decide if it's an RPG or Roguelike, resulting in it falling short of being good at either. I generally like both RPGs and Roguelikes (FTL, Risk of Rain 2, and Hades are some of my favorite games) but this is just frustrating and tedious.

Rocket League is a great game with a great skill curve and high accessibility. It's easy to learn the basic concepts and controls, and you don't have to memorize maps or character abilities like you would in an FPS, MOBA, or fighting game. Getting better is all just about improving your car control and game strategy.

The flavor of the game is also good, with good music, fun cosmetics, and some cool maps. Customizing your cars is really enjoyable and there's a lot of options. They also add cosmetics a lot.

The menu is pretty simple and easy to use, though it could be improved in a few key ways. Weekly/monthly challenges are in a weird spot, and when you get a ton of different color versions of an item they make your inventory huge and hard to find things in.

There's also still a few bugs with connection and servers, especially relating to parties and tournaments, and the reporting/moderation system isn't great.

Overall, very fun game with good content but not great supporting infrastructure.

Played this game a bunch as a kid and it was hella fun, though I could never figure out how to make firework shows. Just bought it again after almost 10 years, immediately figured the firework system out, and am now setting up extremely complex shows for my 2-coasters-and-a-pool park. You can do anything in this game (even pluck all the feathers off the birds that fly by!) and I absolutely love it. Definitely still one of my favourite games!

10/10 would get eaten alive again
