There's a few things to keep in perspective when reading these reviews...

#1 - every review before the 11th was from someone who paid at least $99 USD. you can say they are a little more than a die hard civ fan
#2 - the game is fun and it's nice they didnt just release a re-skin of civ 6

The UI is atrocious, and it feels about as bare bones as Civ 6 did at release. I initially wanted to leave it a negative review for the UI alone, but the devs ALREADY commented on Reddit that they are very aware of the issues and are focusing on them. All of the greatest games are released like this. Fallout 76, X4, Ara, even Civ 6.

I dunno, like seriously, I get leaving a bad review saying "fix xyz and i'll move this to positive"... but people commenting "this won't stand the test of time" because Firaxis tried to evolve the franchise should just go back and play the version of civ that makes them happy. Maybe revisit when it's more polished. This game is a step in the right direction, and I have no reason it won't be as fun as the rest of them. I've played every civ since 2, and am very pleased with the evolution.

Literally every version of Civ is someones favorite. This is going to be great too. We've already been here many times. Let em cook just like we always have before, and quit being so dramatic.

Honestly, as of today, still better than fs2024.

It's a great game. The gun play is good, weapon customization system is great, battles are intense and theatric. The developers do a great job running it as a live service game and keeping the story interesting. Definitely one of those games that never really gets uninstalled.

Deleting my old review. They laid off the entire dev team. It's not getting done. Game should be de-listed. Time to move on.

Ok first of all... I love this game.

Second. I truly understand how difficult of a lift this is. But man, if I could play this game with my buddies online, it would be amazing. I know this request has been made a lot. I'm just throwing in a +1 to that :)

All in all, this game is magnificent as a single player game. Its tough, its unique, it has the clandestine XCOM feel but at a huge scale with a unique game play.

This is a game changer for sure.

The game is pretty good. The tutorial seems like they are punishing me for being a new player, and the help chat is filled with people who get mad because you asked for help. "Go google it" is what you'll receive here... I could honestly see the game failing because of immediate hazing that you're needlessly exposed to (I mean c'mon, it's a video game). Making a global chat and moderating help chat as a help channel (like in eve) would go a long way.

I want this game to be awesome, I really do. Frontier has a chance to pry 300 million USD from the greedy hands of RSI and their terrible product, SC. But they just didn't deliver here. The game runs like crap, everything is super laggy, and honestly, I gotta wonder what the heck the alpha testers were even doing this year when they got to play before the rest of us. The game needs a major patch ASAP, and some public acknowledgement from FDEV about what their future plans are. I mean come on, if i need a 3070 with 32 GB of memory, just say it.

This dang old thing just aint' any good.

Today, I pooped and found and mp5. Would recommend.
