I9, 3080, 128gb of RAM - game runs without issue for me, so I can not speak for those that have hardware lower in specs than mine. BUT, with that said, even with the copious amounts of smoke, explosions, and effects, I haven't had many hitches at all.

Game needs to be advertised more, but it's a solid shooter. I'm hoping for custom servers and smaller maps for skrimmages. As with any online game, hackers can be found here and there, but they do a decent job at culling them from the herd.

I came to write a review, but I have been too busy spreading liberty and managed democracy. ...even after nearly 130 hours!

Early Access Review
A lot of people are ripping on it, but the game feels like the OG Paragon with sprinting. It has better graphics and several custom skins. The grind is long, but you can earn characters and recolored skins with in-game money. You need to pay with cash to get custom skins. A lot of people are going on about Overprime this, Predecessor that, but you can play this one for free and, if you don't like it, go spend $10 for Predecessor (Which is also a good game, but a little less pretty with both being balanced out). I like them both and am curious to see which one comes out on top.

A lot of the negativity comes from when it was first released with a ton of lag. There were also the Predecessor fan bois ripping on it from the jump to bring down it's rating. Again, it's free. So, judge it for yourself.

I recently beat the game and my thoughts are as follows:

For $2.99, this is a real good game. Upgrades felt steady and impactful, there was a slight learning curve, and mid-match progression was paced fairly well. Also, the pixel art was enjoyable. As someone who loves pixel art, I caught myself watching the intro loop to soak in the animation.

After beating it. though, I don't have a whole lot of urge to replay it. If there was a way to change in-game things like wave timers, max units you can have, difficulty, body part discovery chance (such as higher or lower skeleton parts chance), ext. or even Workshop support! I can see this be fun to replay over and over instead of a couple of times.

IF these are not already in the game and I missed how to do it, I would love to see:
1- Hotkey assignments for your units to quickly select them.
2- A way to set a patrol perimeter instead of only making units stand still
3- Units spawned together having an urge to stay together.
4- The above mentioned replayability through sliders, mods, or whatever.

Great game and looking forward to playing it more in the future! Can't beat the price tag even if it's for only a few play throughs.

One of the better Indie games I have played in a while. Good hack-n-slash, a bit repetitive...but not in a bad way. The repetitiveness kinda pushes you if I am gonna be honest. Great soundtrack, LOTS of dialogue to compliment the repeat escape attempts, the personalities of the different characters you meet is done well, great artwork, a healthy bit of goals to accomplish during runs, and lots more! I can't wait to buy a copy for a friend!

10/10 would recommend if you liked the older GOW and games like it!

So, barely two hours into the Single Player I hopped online because, that is what I bought it for...to play with friends. Low and behold, there is apparently this bug since the game launched that will boot you to a solo-session, constantly! So, i can not play with my friends. I tried tons of fixes. Anything I could do with my IP, forworded ports, messed with in-game settings, you name it. Nothing works. I kept Chrome closed while playing and even tried without an anti-virus running...nope. So, I ask Steam for a refund...obviously I tried to get it to work. I really wanted to enjoy some online playtime with some friends! ...nope! I played over two hours so Steam refuses to refund me even though I made it known that I TRIED TO GET IT TO WORK AND IT IS NOT WORKING! The only thing I had left to try was downloading 3rd party programs to try to configure things AND THAT IS TOTAL BS FOR A GAME THAT HAS BEEN OUT THIS LONG!

As far as I can remember, this is the first time I have ever given a game on Steam a negative review...and it's because it flat out refuses to work.

Granted, not everyone has this bug, but none of the "fixes" worked for me.
